Greetings to all.
We are planning to do the gift of books for students that we have been trying to do since about two months to finally happen on February 27, 2021.
If you have read our previous Facebook posts, the school was busy with the receiving of students back after the covid closure and protocols associated. So getting the students' book wish list took it's own time...and we only got from grades 8, 10, 11, & 12 so far.
These will be enough for the specific books requested. For the other students - talking with especially the K.G. and elementary teachers, helpful books can be gifted for the students, and also add important reference, historic, and other reading books in the library for the different levels of students.
This month as you know is the marking of the ADOWA vctory, and it is its 125th year. I think it would send a great motivation to the students to give them these books during this internationally historic national heritage spotlight; because every Ethiopian is reminded the greatness of our great grand parents and feel that we try our best to become better in what we are doing. As students they can get extra value in motivation for their reading and studing habits if they are given in the context of this national victory season.
So as mentioned on our previous posts, if you can, we would like you to be the buyers of these books for these students. We have for now listed below different ways for you to pass your book buying fund to us. There is no limit on how small or big you can contribute.
As explained on our first posts, this is a project that we want to do for students during our bookshop's 50th year with the collected participation of people that support the idea of building a reading generation of students to to contribute in the building of a mature society.
One of our recent post with an outline titled 'SCOP OF THE PROJECT' would give you an idea of the current costs of books, and the quantity of books we plan to give to this school.
