Al Bahr, the debut album of Wishamalii is released TODAY by Nordic Notes !!!

Nemat Battah plays the oud and sings, Abdissa Assefa plays percussion, and I play the piano with Maqiano™ Microtuning System, as well as my dear old Moog synthisizer.

The two wonderful guest musicians are Ana Lazar and Mehrnoosh Zolfaghari, and the beautiful painting in the cover is "Välimerentyttö" by Tanja Ahola !! The album was recorded by Peeter Salmela and mixed by Abdissa Assefa. Cover design by Lena Thiele. Big thanks to Taike and Maris Mihasova !!!

Raahen Seutu kirjoittaa viime perjantain keikasta mm. että
"Kamelit tuntuvat keinahtelevan pitkin Kirkkokatua ja aavikon hiekkapölyä pyörii lavan edustalla. Laulu nuljuaa ihanasti kuin vatsatanssijan navanseutu.... Suggestiviinen trio. Herkiämätön toistensa kuuntelemisen taito. Musiikillista parkouria, jossa hypähdellään, otetaan muutama juoksuaskel, kiivetään. "
