I made my 2025 violin also ready for ESTA conference 2026. It was played on thursday in the concert among other members of Finnish Violin Making Guild by young student from Oulu Conservatory. Still on the table of Viulumo tomorrow. Come to see its crazy flames. Last day!

Last night I finished the varnish of the new violin (at 1 am 😴) . In the morning I set it up and brought to R-house of Sibelius Academy, where the international ESTA conference took place this year. I got its first sound in Chamber orchestra hall in the house by young students. Later of the day I changed the Evah Pirazzi strings (which I had put on in the first place) to new Evah Pirazzi Neo strings by help of Bernd at the Arcusbow desk. I had not tried them before, but It was a good change. And very interesting conversation. Thank you and ARCUS Bows

I went to N-house of Sibelius Academy to test and adjust the sound of my new upcoming violin with Lotus Tinat Lotus Tinat (former student of Sibelius Academy and violinist of the Finnish National Opera)

The ”inside-out” - method Im currently using to build my violins allows for thinning and finishing the top and back plates at this final stage. However, this is the first time I’ve done this with a professional musician. It is a highly enlightening and interesting experience. Thank you, Lotus!

Ps. Sound was already quite okay in the end of the session, but I have to admit that I returned to my workbench to work a bit more 😁

Long time no see! I got my hands on the violin I made in 2009 for the test violin in Newark School of Violin Making . I sold it maybe 3 or 4 years ago and it went to Estonia. Now it came back for cleaning and maintaining. Nice to see some wear on it ☺️. And anyway it is a strange feeling to see again, my baby. ❤️✨
