Lempineuleita by is out and my Teen Dream pullover is one of the lovely patterns in the book. It's a deliciously lush cable sweater with seed stitch, European shoulders and a round neckline with folded ribbing. I knitted my sample with Sunday and Tynn Silk Mohair *yarn sponsored*

Autumn is definitely here and good things just keep coming. I got to be part of a Finnish book, Lempineuleita, which is coming out today! 🥳 My pattern called Teen Dream is a sort of a remake of a creamy Aran sweater I nicked from mom's wardrobe as a pre-teen. This is a modern take on my old favorite sweater.

Happy 20th birthday to my LYS, and 🥳🍾I've been shopping and knitting there since 2012 and there are so many memories along the years. I don't think I'd be a successful knitwear designer if it wasn't for your support. 🥹So many knit nights, classes taught, trunk shows, podcast interviews and what not! Two book publishing parties, one with just Tiina and me, and one big one with all my family and friends. I can't believe this shot from book party nro 2 is the only one I have of us two together! Oh, and if you're wondering about the last photo of a person peeking through a window: during Covid lockdown they joked that they would deliver yarns with a pulley system through the window. Do not joke, I will come shopping and demand to receive my yarns through the window! 🤣

I'm filled with joy to get to be part of Nordic Knits 2. 🥰 My contribution is Kaarlo, an elegant vest worked in broken rib with a contrast colour cable pattern on the right front. The vest was inspired by my grandfather and his work as a young man making rope. My sample is knit in Fi*****ng Manna and Nila. 💞 *yarn sponsored*

A little reality check. I do try to take pretty photos of my knits to sell these patterns and I do scrub up nicely for the photoshoot. But most days, it's just sweatpants and ponytail. I don't have the energy or will to wear makeup unless it's a special occasion. And I don't care how fancy a sweater is, it will go fine with a pair of sweatpants and many of my favorite sweaters still have a dried up drool spot for where I carried my kids as they were teeny tiny babies. A photo is a still moment but life is continuous. 💞
Oh, and this fancy vs. not fancy sweater is called Frozen dreams. You can find it in my shops.

Had a little outing the other day to Sherlachius museum. A photoshoot, wonderful lunch and some art. A pretty good day.❤️ Also, I’m finally almost done with those final socks.💪😅 The skirt is in test knitting and the pattern will come out in spring.

It's such a happy feeling getting ready for a new pattern launch. All the grading, writing etc. is done and you get to concentrate on all the pretty pics (not these quick snaps in dim evening light!). 🥰 You've already seen a little sneak peek on all the gorgeous yarn kits are preparing for this one. Mine is the one called Lucky Lavender. One of my favorite parts of the beautiful color transitions in this sweater is how the cuffs suddenly go to pale mint and lavender. I quite like the effect that the hem is dark and the cuffs are light. Oh, and some memories along the way of knitting my sample: can you spot the lucky clover in the second pic? And jeez, was that a close call on yarn chicken while binding off the hem?! 🫣🐔
