Never underestimate the power of decoupaged paper and a bit of gold paint to change the look of something. This 5 euro metal hanging light didn’t look like much but it provided a great jumping off point for my garden atelier chandelier.

I haven’t posted in a while because I don’t have any exciting or pretty or inspirational progress to share. Using the good weather to our advantage by working in the garden. This is a big weeding time in order to get on top of it. The garden atelier is coming along but a ways to go. That’s the thing about gardening and restoring a home or creating a new space, it takes time. While we all love a good reveal, there is so much “not pretty” that happens along the way. So here’s a look at where we are today and we just have to have a little faith that one day it’s going to be so good.

Objects with a story. ☺️💕

The weather has been glorious. My absolute favorite temperatures and lots of sun. So we’ve put our closet door and bed nook projects on hold while we tidy the garden and complete our pruning. As usual, I’ve started way too many seeds. But I love to share with friends and neighbors. Today, I potted up my kale seedlings. They’ll go in around mid March. No hurry. Still have a lot of kale coming off of last year’s plants. 😊

Our Story

Everyone deserves something beautiful.

Ever since I was a little girl, I have wanted to live in France. My paternal ancestral roots are in Alsace and I have always felt a strong connection. The time was finally right to make the move and begin something new. My desire is to share the beauty of France through my curated collection of vintage treasures, handmade goods, and French lifestyle essentials. I love things that are both useful and beautiful. European objects that are real and show true craftsmanship. One day soon, my husband and I will open our home in Burgundy, France to small scale creative events focused on lost domestic arts, historical tours, and simply . . . all things french.

Our new life combines all the things I love: design / travel / history / food / art / learning It is an opportunity to share my passions with others so that no matter where you are, you can have a little bit of France in your home. If you have any questions, please send us a note.
