As the art world gathers in Basel this week, Maison Joseph Duclos reaffirms its belief that patronage is not only about preserving artworks, but enabling them to remain active, accessible and in dialogue with audiences across time.

Through the creation of the Fonds Lumière – Joseph Duclos in 2022, the Maison has made a long-term commitment alongside the Amis du Centre Pompidou to support the Museum's research and major acquisitions exploring light as both material and idea.

Light has always been central to the Maison's philosophy of luxe éclairé. More than illumination, it symbolizes knowledge, creativity and transmission – values inherited from the Age of Enlightenment and carried forward through our cultural engagements.
