🎉🌸FOUR YEARS OF IVY & ROSE FLORIST! 🌸🎉

Somehow, my little business is 4 years old! 🥹💐

Technically, our birthday was last week… but I’ve been far too busy in the shop to stop and celebrate properly! Between all the beautiful weddings, orders and a very exciting little project I’ve been working on, the days have completely flown by. ✨

I can’t say too much about the exciting project just yet, but let’s just say there have, of course, been flowers involved, a rather exciting set, and something that may eventually appear on your TV screens… 👀🎬🌸

Four years ago, I could never have imagined where Ivy & Rose Florist would take me. 🥹

A huge THANK YOU to all of my lovely customers, friends, family and everyone who continues to support my small business. Whether you’ve ordered flowers, shared my posts, recommended me to someone or simply followed along — it honestly means more than you know and I'm incredibly grateful for it all. ❤️

I'm really sorry… but I’m going to mention Christmas already! 🎄

I know… it’s only September. 🙈
But behind the scenes, I’ve been quietly planning everything Christmas related for quite some time now! ✨

I’m so excited to announce that Ivy & Rose Florist 2026 Christmas Wreath Making Workshops are now open for bookings. 🌿🎀

Also my *NEW for 2026!* Table Centrepiece workshops are also open for bookings! 🎄

You’ll have the chance to make your own beautiful Christmas Wreath or Table Centrepiece, with lots of help, inspiration and guidance from me along the way. 🌿

We will have a large variety of fresh foliage, decorations and ribbons to choose from with a free welcome drink on arrival! 🥂

Whether you come with friends, family, your work bestie or simply fancy treating yourself to an afternoon/evening of festive crafting, I’d love to have you there. 🥰

These workshops do tend to fill up quickly, so if you’ve been thinking "I’d love to do that!”, please don’t leave it until December to book.

🌹 The not so glamorous side of being a florist… 🌹

I thought I’d show you a little glimpse of what actually goes on behind the scenes at Ivy & Rose Florist.

Every week I de-thorn what feels like THOUSANDS of roses and honestly, some of the thorns on these things are ridiculous! 😂

I mean… just look at them! 🌵🌹

I’ve put one next to my thumbnail so you can actually see the size of them... I’m not exaggerating! 😂

Every single rose has to be conditioned and de-thorned by hand before it goes into a bouquet. It’s one of those jobs that definitely doesn’t look quite as pretty as the finished product!

Lots of little cuts, sore fingers and a rather impressive pile of thorns later… I eventually get there. 😂

You see the beautiful bouquets leaving the shop, but you don’t always see the hours of work that go into getting every flower looking its best.

Would I rather be arranging the flowers? Absolutely! 😂

But I have to admit, when you see the finished bouquets all coming together, it makes the thorn battle worth it. ❤️🌹

So next time you get a bouquet of roses from Ivy & Rose Florist, spare a thought for my poor fingers! 😂🌹

Hello! 👋

Just a little post, incase you’ve been wondering where I’ve disappeared to on here…! 😂 I’m still very much here, just absolutely snowed under with weddings, events, everyday orders and all the behind-the-scenes chaos that comes with being an independent florist! 💐

My little shop has been keeping me very busy, which is amazing and I’m so incredibly grateful for every single order, bouquet and event I get to be part of. ❤️

So, apologies for the lack of posts and updates. I’m still creating, arranging, delivering and generally surrounded by flowers 24/7 — I’ve just not been very good at remembering to actually post the photos! 🤪

I’ll try my best to get back to posting more regularly, because there are so many gorgeous things I’ve been working on that I’d love to share with you. 🌷

Thank you for keeping my little independent florist business soooo busy. It really does mean the world. 💕🌿

Now, back to the flowers… and maybe I’ll remember to pick up my phone this time! 😂📱💐

One Whole Year at 48 Cross Street! 📍🔑

I cannot believe it's been a year since I opened the doors to my shop for the first time! 🤯 What a year it's been... so many events, occasions and lovely customers. 🌸

From weddings to funerals and more Bouquets than I can count, it's been a whirlwind of a year. 💐 I am super grateful for the support I have received from Abergavenny and of course my customers who live closer to home too.
