What a lovely evening viewing the eclipse. We had great fun making a pinhole camera and playing with a colendar!

It might not have been the astronomy event we had planned to attend but it was beautiful 😍 Sadly that event was cancelled due to the local wildfires. What a time we live in.

Devestated 💔 I cannot believe this beautiful place is gone. Dunwich Heath and a big chunk of Minsmere have been destroyed by wildfire over the last few days, a fire that is still burning even now. (Featured on the February month card)

The thought of all the work that has gone into these wonderful conservation heathland restoration efforts. The species of moths, butterflies birds and more that are impacted.

The heath had only just recovered to pre 2022 drought levels.

I can't fully comprehend the extent of the area that's been destroyed or the amount of wildlife impacted. I dread the next drive in to the day job and seeing this new desolate landscape.

Thoughts are with all those directly affected by the fire and huge thanks to the tireless efforts to the fire and rescue services from across the country, and the local teams hard at work from Minsmere and Dunwich 🙏

Farewell Dad ❤️

My dad has been a cornerstone of my life and this little business. He's helped in so many ways over the years. From folding cards and boxes to driving me to craft fairs. Most of all he believed in me and supported me.

His loss will leave my world feeling a little smaller and a little less bright. But now he is at peace.

For those who have orders placed, I'm so sorry I haven't been in touch or got things posted. I will be in touch with updates individually. I just haven't been able too in my grief.

It's no secret that I LOVE moths! Over the last few days there have been several Jersey Tiger Moths in the garden At The Cherry Tree this week 😍 in a hard and difficult time for our family these have been a little ray of sunshine

January was one busy month!! Lots of orders, lots of new painting happening, lots of new designs and products starting to trickle in!

Very excited to see the first of the new products, a limited run of ID bookmarks featuring British wildlife.

Oh Watch the Moon! Tonight marks the first full moon of the year.

January's full moon is often called the cold moon (definitely feeling that today), the quiet moon or the wolf moon, depending on the cultural background. All these names make reference to the quiet restful time that marks the winter days.

We watched the moon rise tonight over snowy fields while listening to this beautiful song by ! We were lucky to hear them play it live just before Christmas. What a perfect way to spend the evening x
