Back in May, we proudly took ownership of the āSelectionsā property at the top of Victoria street, where we are still working to create some positive vibes via our Lego shop and bring much needed energy to the top end of town.
We were really disappointed this morning to hear (from more than 1 person) that the rumour around town indicated that people were saying we are the ones responsible for the fly tipping next to the bins near the property.
We don't normally respond the the court of public opinion or grapevine gossip but feel compelled to do so on this occasion.
Being very conscientious Channel Island folk, this rumour couldnāt be any further from the truth with our recycling efforts at home and in life in general, we are even working long hours to support the sale of pre loved Lego sets.
In all honesty, when we bought Selections, the team at Bell and Co had undertaken a massive effort to clear the property before we purchased and donated a great deal to charity and we basically took on a vacant property with only a few glasses and bowls in the building (long since recycled, reused or donated).
Everything else that has been removed (kitchen, bathroom etc) has also been recycled, reused or appropriately disposed of and we will continue to do this.
If you hear people accusing us of being responsible for the fly-tipping please can you kindly and politely correct them.
Thanks in advance.
