🛒🐾 Home Bargains BUY or DON’T BUY: Cat Mum Edition!

Come shopping with me while I decide what I would and wouldn’t pick up for my cats. 👀 From everyday wet food and treats to soups, gravy and some surprisingly good finds!

These are simply my personal choices based on what I look for when shopping for my own cats, and remember, treats and complementary foods aren’t replacements for a complete, balanced diet. 🤍

Things I WON’T apologise for… Cat Mum Edition 🐾🤍

1. Adding warm water to their KatKin 🥩💧
I add a little warm kettle water to every pouch. It gives them some extra water intake AND turns their food into a lovely gravy that my cats absolutely love. Rumissa is demonstrating her love for it 🤣

2. Using tofu litter 🌱🐾
Low dust, super absorbent, lightweight and great at controlling smells. Once we switched to tofu litter, there was no going back!

3. Investing in automatic litter boxes 🤖
Honestly… LIFE CHANGING. 😂 No more daily scooping, much less smell and the litter is kept clean throughout the day. In a multi-cat home, they’re worth every penny!

4. Constantly buying automatic toys 🧸😂
Do they already have enough toys? Yes. Do I continue buying them new automatic ones to keep them entertained and stimulated? Also yes. Do some survive only a few days? Unfortunately… YES. 😭😂 mind you this one junior is playing with has last him over a month and he still lives it!

5. And the last one might shock you… 👀

My cats have a BEDTIME. 😂🌙🐾

10pm means lights out for EVERYONE including the cats. No exceptions! 😂

We have the same routine every night. Toys away, house settles down, lights go off and everyone knows it’s bedtime. And believe it or not… the cats know the routine just as well as the kids do! 🤍

Call me strict, but in this house, 10pm is bedtime whether you have two legs or four. 😂🐾🌙

After dropping the kids off at school, Mummy decided to climb into one of her little humans’ beds because she’s feeling a little under the weather… and Junior was VERY confused. 😂🤍

“Excuse me Mummy… why are YOU in my little human’s bed?!” 👀😂

But it didn’t take him long to realise that a quiet house + Mummy lying down = the perfect opportunity for some uninterrupted cuddles. 🥹 So, naturally, he climbed straight on top of me, made himself comfortable and decided he wasn’t moving. 😂🐾

Junior is such an affectionate little soul. He absolutely loves being close to his humans, and apparently today he’s appointed himself as Mummy’s personal nurse. 🤍

I think he’s secretly enjoying the kids being back at school… more Mummy all to himself! 😂
