✨ We’ve been a little quiet on here… but definitely not in the shop! 👀

If you’ve walked past recently, you may have noticed the lights on later than usual. 🌙

That’s because we’ve been working behind the scenes, unpacking deliveries, organising stock and completely refreshing the shop ready for the seasons ahead! 😍

📦 In this week alone, we’ve received:

🧵 3 boxes of haberdashery, crafts & kits (More arriving today!)

🚚 …with even more fabric still on the way!

The shop is now packed with inspiration for every kind of maker. Whether you’re planning Autumn projects 🍁, Halloween makes 🎃, Christmas sewing 🎄, festive crafts ✂️ or your next knitting or crochet project 🧶, there’s so much to discover.

✨ We’re so excited to share something we’ve been working on behind the scenes! ✨

Supporting local businesses has always been incredibly important to us, so partnering with another independent business we genuinely love just made perfect sense.

From today, you can now choose The Travelling Cupcake Andover as a Click & Collect location when ordering from the Pennies website! 🧶☕

This gives you even more flexibility, with earlier opening and later closing times than our shop, making it easier than ever to collect your order at a time that suits you.

Even better… if you’re collecting after 4pm, you can take advantage of FREE parking in the Chantry Centre car park, pop in, collect your order, and maybe even treat yourself to a coffee and cake while you’re there. 🍰☕

We absolutely love supporting fellow local businesses, and it’s wonderful to work together to make shopping locally even more convenient for our community. 💕💕💕

🧶✨ They’re here! ✨🧶

The Sirdar Pumpkin Spice Blanket Official Yarn Packs have arrived in the shop, ready for the Crochet Along starting on 15th July. 🧡

Never joined a Crochet Along before? These are designed for all skill levels, starting with simple stitches and gradually introducing new techniques as you go. There are step-by-step video tutorials to guide you every step of the way, so it’s a great project whether you’re new to crochet or you’ve been stitching for years.

It’s the perfect project to enjoy over the summer, and by the time the cooler weather arrives, you’ll have a beautiful handmade blanket ready to snuggle under.

We’re hoping lots of you will be joining in, so if you’re taking part, let us know! We’d love to see your progress each week and celebrate everyone’s blankets as they grow.

Makers Monday is here, and this one is seriously impressive! 🧶✨

Sent in by a very proud mum, these gorgeous chenille crochet creations were made by her incredibly talented 15-year-old daughter, who taught herself to crochet just last year — how amazing is that? 😍

From the Jellycat-themed birthday cake to the bunnies, puppies, hedgehog and kitties, every piece is full of character and cuteness. Some have been made for a fete, and others as requests from friends, which makes them even more special 🙌

A huge well done to this brilliant young maker — we absolutely love seeing creativity like this and can’t wait to see what she makes next!

🎉 IT’S BACK! 🎉

Sorry to everyone who was disappointed yesterday after we sold out so quickly! ❤️

Good news… we’ve just had another 80 metres of our popular Thermal Blackout Lining delivered this morning! ☀️❄️

A fair amount has already been reserved by those who missed out yesterday, but we’re hoping there’s enough left to see us through the weekend. 🤞

If you’ve been thinking about getting some, we’d definitely recommend not leaving it too long. With this weather, it’s flying out! 🌡️💨

💡 Perfect for keeping rooms cooler, blocking out the sun, and even attaching to windows with Velcro as a temporary heat barrier.
