It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of my wonderful Mum, Patricia “Trish” White, who passed away on 19th June 2026 after a short illness, aged 71.

Born on 7th July 1954, Trish was a loving wife, devoted mother, and cherished grandmother to six grandchildren who brought her so much joy.

Trish’s life was deeply intertwined with the antiques trade. In the late 1980s, she and her husband, Chris White, founded Riverside Restorations in Arundel. Together they worked tirelessly to build the business, with Trish balancing antique restoration while raising a young family.

I joined the business at 16, and years later founded White’s Antiques. For Trish, this marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter. She embraced the changing world of antiques with enthusiasm, helping us grow the business, learning new skills, running our website, and connecting with customers online. She loved every minute of it.

For many years, Trish was at the heart of White’s Antiques. Her knowledge, passion, and enthusiasm helped shape both our business and dealer collective into what they are today. She had an incredible eye for quality and history and loved sharing her knowledge with customers, dealers, and friends.

A true wordsmith with a deep love of the English language, Trish had a gift for conversation and storytelling. She also had a lifelong love of the classics, particularly Roman and Greek mythology. Her warmth, wit, beautiful laugh, and infectious enthusiasm will be remembered by everyone who knew her.

She was not only a respected antiques expert but also a kind and generous person whose support, guidance, and friendship meant so much to so many. Her contribution to White’s Antiques is immeasurable, and we are profoundly grateful for everything she did for us.

We will miss her more than words can express, but we will carry her laughter, stories, wisdom, and love with us always.

Rest peacefully, Mum.

You will be forever loved, forever missed, and forever in our hearts. ❤️
