This 7 miles/ 11km circular walk follows a section of The Ridgeway National Trail and the Chiltern Way, through beautiful Chilterns through wooded hills and nature reserves. You will pass some great rural pubs and a windmill whilst enjoying far-reaching views.

The terrain is moderate, the tracks will be firm underfoot and the lanes quiet. There is an easy climb of 220m / 720ft, but this is not a step-free or gate-free walk.
There is a good train service to Princes Risborough from London Marylebone, the Midlands and Aylesbury.

The origin of some customs have been lost or re-imagined to suit modern tastes and bank holiday dates. Swan Upping is neither. Firmly routed in the 12th century, this annual swan census is necessary for conservation of mute swans and acts as a gentle reminder of who owns them. On this week and open to riverside viewing along Thames Path National Trail

England is full of quaint customs, some funny and others frankly bizarre. This annual census is both quaint and oddly bizarre.

Top billing for Marlow!

Having satisfied themselves that there are no flood warnings in the local area, Mary and Jitters will be taking to the quaint streets of Marlow next Thursday (16th), to bring you their unique brand of 'entertainment'. Rescheduled from the last heatwave, next week is looking a little more manageable so we do hope you will come along and join in the fun. Please note, on this occasion, corsets will not be compulsory. What’s on this weekend July 11th & 12th

What do a Fox, a litter of piglets, goats, yoga in the woods, a market in Wendover Woods, a cooling walk through Ashridge, the River Thames and summer cocktails all have in common?
They're all part of the Chilterns Discovery Day this weekend.

Two days, 30 experiences, one welcome across the Chilterns. If you fancy a woodland market, a riverside stroll, or a proper local menu to finish it off, there's plenty of reasons to get outside and into the Chilterns this weekend.
