After setting these up on the end of the Eversolo T10 and Z10 yesterday, we have to say they're pretty special!

Exposure's new 5510 monoblock amplifiers are hard hitting and finely delicate at the same time, offering endless power and slam, tons of detail, and don't stand in the way of a transparent source and highly resolving loudspeakers - we're enjoying the system immensely!

Been using the Perlisten X2w speakers for a couple of days now at the little audio company, driven by a a Hegel H190v amplifier, and used with and without a Perlisten D15s subwoofer.
Without the sub, obviously they lack bass, but unlike many other bass limited loudspeakers, didn't sound flat and lack soundstage depth. You can tell they're excellent speakers by the level of detail on offer when listening to complex music, especially sample based music. Especially at their low price point.
And then you kick in the sub! Which just elevates them and proves that what you heard without a sub laid a great foundation for a quality 2.1 or multi-channel AV or music system. Really sweetens them up, and produces a spacious, rock solid soundstage, thanks to their inert cabinet (unlike other speakers in their price point).
We're now really excited to get these and the X3ws set up in the AV demo room and put them through their multi-channel paces.

Acoustic Energy have updated their AE1 Active based around the R&D for the 40th Anniversary AE1 model, which for us is a must-listen-to compact loudspeaker. The new model will be available in high gloss black or white, and matte real wood walnut veneer.

What makes the AE1 active to many other options is that there's no digital - no networking, no streaming, no Bluetooth, no DSP - just purely Class AB based active loudspeakers. Just add a source such as a music streamer and away you go.

The new SVS SB3000 Micro R|Evolution subwoofer has been announced at Axpona this week.

This little firecracker will dig down as low as 20Hz, which is 3Hz deeper than the previous model, mainly thanks to the slightly larger dual opposing 9" drivers capable of shifting more air. The outgoing model was impressive, but the larger drivers of the new model should bring even more authority to music and movies!

Pre-orders are open at the little audio store for a delivery date of around mid May at the moment - so get your orders in early to avoid disappointment!
