Gooooood morning π
everybody π. Welcome π to a grey day here in Corsham π¬π§. I hope π€ everyone is having a lovely week so far! β€οΈ
The mornings are definitely getting darker now, & I always find it so much harder to get out of bed π when itβs still dark outside! π΄
Iβve been perched on the edge of the bed with no covers since Popsi πΆ decided to come upstairs & see us at 3am. π She sprawls out & practically pushes us both out of bed β honestly, she has absolutely no idea how big she is! πΎπ€£
Iβm getting up now to give her some breakfast π³ , then weβll head out for our morning walk πΆ πΎ before work starts. Weβre rattling through another week already β where is the time going?! β°
Weβll head to Costa Coffee βοΈ for our usual caffeine fix π. I like to walk πΆ πΎ around Corsham Court drinking it. Itβs also handy now the colder π₯Ά weather is coming in as it keeps my hands π warm π.
Iβm going to jump on the cross β trainer in a bit & then have a nice steam π§ββοΈ . Today is all about hydration π¦ too β I drink so much water & absolutely love it! π§
Weβll also do our usual morning stroll around the garden πͺ΄ . We do this religiously every morning, whatever the weather is doing. πΏπΈ I need to top up the bird π¦
feeders & put some nuts π₯ out for Tina too. πΏοΈβ€οΈ
The Roses πΉ are still hanging in there, & Iβm continuing to deadhead them every day. Weβve got lots of new buds appearing, although Iβm not sure whether theyβll actually open with the cooler weather creeping in. πΉ
Itβs always a little sad when summer βοΈ starts to slip away. Itβs been such a great summer this year, with lots of lovely memories, sunshine, gardening & adventures. βοΈβ€οΈ
But thereβs still plenty to enjoy before winter arrivesβ¦
Letβs have a quick joke:
At school, Little Johnny's classmate tells him that most adults are hiding at least one dark secret, so it's very easy to blackmail them by saying, "I know the whole truth."
Little Johnny decides to go home & try it out. Johnny's mother greets him at home, & he tells her, "I know the whole truth." His mother quickly hands him $20 & says, "Just don't tell your father."
Quite pleased, the boy waits for his father to get home from work, & greets him with, "I know the whole truth." The father promptly hands him $40 & says, "Please don't say a word to your mother."
Very pleased, the boy is on his way to school the next day when he sees the mailman at his front door. The boy greets him by saying, "I know the whole truth."
The mailman immediately drops the mail, opens his arms, & says, "Then come give your Daddy a great big hug!"
