Now retired, he has turned to a life of petty crime… mainly attempting to rob Amy’s Pet Supplies of anything edible.

He may look innocent, but don’t be fooled — this seasoned professional knows exactly where the treats are and has absolutely no intention of paying for them.

Wanted on suspicion of treat theft, excessive charm, and being far too pleased with himself. 🐾🚔🍖

We discovered Blake House Craft Centre at the beginning of this year, it is an amazing place with something for Everyone!
We attend all of their shows and events, each one is a pleasure to be part of.
We'll be there again this weekend at the monthly Makers Market, with many new designs.
If you haven't been before please come along and see what you've been missing!

We’ve had a lovely influx of new followers recently, so we thought it was time to say a proper hello and welcome to Blake House Craft Centre 👋🌿

Tucked away in the Essex countryside, Blake House was once a working farmyard. Today, it’s a growing rural shopping village filled with independent businesses, makers, specialists and wonderfully unique finds.

If busy high streets and packed shopping centres aren’t really your thing, you might feel rather at home here.

Come for a wander, browse at your own pace, stop for a cuppa and discover things you probably won’t find in the usual chain stores. From handmade candles, locally made produce and traditional fudge to unusual furniture, artwork, crystals, pet products, beauty and wellbeing, motorcycles, bicycles and plenty more.

Blake House has also quietly become somewhere people seek out, and we’ve welcomed more than a few recognisable names over the years. We’ll always respect their privacy though. Whether you’re someone people recognise on TV or someone we recognise because you visit every week, everyone gets the same warm welcome here. 🤍

That’s what Blake House is about: good old-fashioned customer service, independent businesses run by real people and the chance to shop a little differently.

And we’re growing. 🌱 Since the new owners took over in January 2026, there have been lots of improvements, with more businesses, a gym and padel court coming, plus plenty more plans to be announced.

We also want Blake House to be a real hub for the community, with monthly Farmers Markets, seasonal events, Christmas events and our Canine Country Fayre returning in March 2027.

So whether you’ve only just found us or you’ve been visiting for years, thank you for being here.

Come for a browse. Stay for a coffee. Discover somewhere new. And whenever you can, shop independent. 🤍
