Getting to be last chance saloon time to see garden this year... open tomorrow from 11am.
If you haven't been before, we have a car park across the road.
Masses of top quality cakes, coffees, teas etc as well as massive choice of plants from our nursery on site




Our open days are full of visitors saying that they didn't know we existed, never heard of us etc but we have been cover...

Our open days are full of visitors saying that they didn't know we existed, never heard of us etc but we have been covered quite a lot over the years, mainly nationally.
We have an information table in one of our garden buildings with a pile of some of the publicity

Open this Sunday again 11 til 5... Always amazed how many of our visitors especially say the NGS ones aren't aware that we are open every Sunday and not for example once a year.
Open days carry on into September

People often talk about our giant bamboo, and it is giant, some of the biggest canes in the UK.
However as you can see from our posts on here...we do have many other strings to our bow!
Big NGS day yesterday...a meeting of normal Ngs visitors and our normal Sunday visitors

Map of the garden...the tiny green lawn on bottom left of map behind my cottage was all that was the original garden!
20 years ago, I bought a bit of land behind the lawn and that is when I started the garden...we put the two ponds in behind the lawn...a few years later we bought another bit which we turned into the giant circle,
Finally an L shaped plot the is the top of map and bottom right




Open again tomorrow as usual 11 til 5...observant visitors have mentioned it was 11 til 4 last year...we added the extra...

Open again tomorrow as usual 11 til 5...observant visitors have mentioned it was 11 til 4 last year...we added the extra hour so people don't have to rush off at 4....
We are here til 8 or 9 tidying up anyway! Don't even mention watering!!
Despite 2 months without rain we trying to still keep big leaves and 10 foot cannas and bananas going




Visitors often ask what happens in the garden during the week, as we normally only open to general public on a Sunday......

We have private groups ie garden club visits or Art groups etc most days
You can also come on a private visit during the week including guided tour and story of the garden..

Like all gardens, we are dry here!! Still lots of lushness though, especially potted areas!
We are often dry for month at a time here in east Anglia but this year takes the biscuit!
Open as usual tomorrow 11 til 5 ...lots of lovely cakes and drinks, cold ones as well and remember it is lovely and cool in the garden as mostly in shade
