Well folks....it's the last day for the Pop-Up Charity Shop (at least until I find a new venue for it) I emptied the collection tin just now and it had £136.45 in it.....thats incredible, thank you to everyone who donated, you literally helped save the lives of abused and neglected animals in china, via Harbin SHS Animal Rescue . Harbin SHS Animal Rescue was started by 3 young women, one from Ireland, one from the UK and one from Australia who met n China and started to rescue dogs from the now illegal (thank you China) dog meat trade. All three, along with a small team of local 'Aunties and Uncles' are still involved in the day to day running of Harbin and they are all my personal heroes, I wouldn't want to swop places with them so I do my bit by donating on a monthly basis and raising money to help with the ever increasing costs of loving abused animals back to life. I have loved raising money for this charity and I hope to do more n the future, but until I can find another venue for the Pop-Up Charity Shop I'm gonna take a rest....unlike the staff at Harbin who never seem to get a rest. So if anyone knows or hears of a venue that might support me....please please get in touch. Biggest hugs.

Hi People, well it looks like the Pop-Ups days are numbered. Jack Coffee Bar is changing hands and I have until the end of the month before I need to pack it all up. Together we have raised over £1000.00 for Harbin SHS Animal Rescue and I'm very proud of that. To be truthful it could have been more if I had paid it more attention, but I did what I could. I might try looking for a new location but that has proved difficult in the past. Thanks to Mary and family at the The Lamppost café and Jack Coffee Bar for all their support and encouragement. Of course I need to thank all the wonderful people who donated clothing and who bought items from the Pop-Up...without you it would not have been possible.
Please if you can, set up a monthly donation to Harbin SHS Animal Rescue those 3 women and their helpers do such heart wrenching work and even £5.00 per month from everyone who reads this would make a huge difference, PLEASE consider it.

So...my last post was one where I thought the POP-UP had run its course and I was thinking of bringing it to an end!!! Shows how little I know! Just an hour or so after I posted it I had a person come to my home with more clothes donations for the POP-UP....is the Universe trying to tell me something?? So I went over there today with some items and found the rail almost empty...I took the money box home and found this inside....£111.87 !!!! SO the POP-UP continues for another while and Harbin SHS will get this money via Paypal today. Thanks to everyone for their help, you inspire me to do more.

Hi people, I've been thinking its time to give the Pop up a bit of a rest. Its simply not taking much money and I've not been successful in finding a new cafe or other place to move it to in hope of finding a new customers. I firmly believe that as soon as I do it will start taking more money again. I approached Cafe Nero and they replied that it 'wasn't on brand' which I thought was a bit weak coming from a cafe chain that has shelves full of dusty rarely read book etc. If anyone has any idea's on possible site please give me a shout. Of Course I owe a HUGE Thank You to Mary and the rest of the family and staff at Jack coffee Bar for all their help in this and I hope to be back there sometime in the future if the Pop Up Continues. To date we have raised about £800.00 for Harbin SHS which is amazing. So, WATCH THIS SPACE

So I know I've been a bit lacking my updating the post here...but just to let you know that I am still adding clothing donations to the Pop Up Charity Shop and send the money to Harbin SHS in China. The most recent being a donation of £67.00
sent via the Just Giving site. All my donation can be checked by contacting Harbin SHS on FB or Instagram. Thanks to everyone who has been encouraging me by buying items, making donations or just by 'following' the Vinted site @ https://www.vinted.co.uk/member/133856264-popupcharity or FB site and spreading the word
