I've been reflecting on what I want out of life and in terms of a home and have concluded that I reject the idea that success must be visible.
I have no interest in performing achievement through square footage, cars, or objects that require constant defense and upkeep. A home should hold a life, not consume it.
I value proximity; between rooms, between people, between moments. I value a home that is easy to care for as my body changes, a place that adapts to me rather than demands I keep up with it.
Freedom matters more to me than accumulation.
Time and experiences matter more than things.
I would rather spend my resources on travel, learning, and shared memories than on a structure that outlives its usefulness and leaves others with the burden of sorting what I no longer need.
What I hope to leave behind is not property, but clarity: permission to live lightly and deliberately.
My legacy is not what I own.
It is how I lived unencumbered, present, and awake to what was enough.
