BOOKINGS FOR SUNDAYS IN QUAYSIDE HUTS NOW OPEN! 🌤️

If you’d like to trade on a Sunday along Berwick’s Quayside, please email [email protected].

£10 a day. We’re open to businesses using the huts as a base, larger organisations splitting the huts, or for other uses! Not just traders…!

Today we say goodbye and a happy retirement to one of our VERY loyal traders. John has stood on Berwick-upon-Tweed’s charter market for 15 years, selling on behalf of Ross Dougal Fish Merchants (we think he deserves a rest now!) 👏

Ross Dougal’s van will remain, with a new trader taking John’s place from Wednesday, so make sure to welcome him with open arms.

Thank you John, and congratulations on your retirement. We will miss you! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

SORRY BUT HOW BRILLIANT IS TODAY’S BUTTERMARKET LINE-UP?! 👏👏👏👏👏

So many fabulous things to buy, traders to meet and chocolate to eat!

Find the Buttermarket under the town hall, on Marygate. Open until 3pm. 👏

BERWICK’S SATURDAY MARKET. 👇

Find a glorious selection of fresh fruit&veg, fresh fish (caught off the coast of Eyemouth), freshly baked bread, scones & more!

Along with sunglasses, handbags, gifts, chocolate, vintage clothing, Northumbrian style gifts - all in the Buttermarket too, based underneath the Town Hall.

Down on the Quayside will be two fantastic sellers also, so make sure to go and check them out!
Finish with a refreshment at The Lookout or Lowry’s at The Chandlery.

IT’S WEDNESDAY… WHICH MEANS IT’S MARKET DAY IN BERWICK!

We know it’s a little bit dreary out (or cosy weather☔️🍁), but we’re made of tough stuff up here!

The stalls are out and there’s a LOT to discover:

From fresh fruit & veg, fresh and smoked fish, bread, scones and sausage rolls to gifts, hats, sunglasses, bags and much more!

We’re thinking about opening the Quayside Huts on a Sunday rather than a Saturday (or perhaps even Sunday too! 👀)

It would mean that over the weekend, residents and visitors alike could enjoy exploring our wonderful local traders across both days.

And honestly, does a Sunday stroll around Berwick’s Elizabethan Walls, followed by a coffee, refreshment or leisurely lunch from either The Lookout or Lowry’s at The Chandlery, finished off with a little purchase from one of our brilliant small businesses, sound rather delightful? 🙏
