Most exciting Usborne bargain ever!! The Phonics Readers boxset is back on special offer! To describe the amazingness of this, (a) this is a boxset containing 20 books aimed at children learning to read and follows the Phonics system used by most schools as part of the National Curriculum and the books have hilarious rhyming titles like Hyena Ballerina or Flamingo Plays Bingo and (b) these books normally cost £5.99 each if you buy them separately but the boxset is only £24.99 so you are literally saving nearly £100!! That works out at £1.25 per book, for brand new quality books!

This was actually what got me into Usborne books, a friend told me about this amazing bargain and I bought it for my 2 year old for when he started reading and they were brilliant! I need to get my set out again for the little one.

If anyone wants me to order one for them, please let me know. I am going to order a few for my next stall as these always sell well! ###

Hello book lovers, I have to share with you the amazing experience of meeting two real life authors at a school which happened solely because of me being an Independent Usborne Partner! A school local to me wanted to celebrate World Book Day a few weeks back, so I arranged for Hannah "Unipiggle" Shaw to visit the infant children (reception, year 1 and year 2) and P.G. Bell ("The Train to Impossible Places" trilogy) to visit the Key Stage 2 children. The children's parents bought £1000 of these 2 authors' books from me so Usborne donated the school an extra £600 of books!! The authors ran workshops and answered the children's questions and signed their books. I also asked them to sign books for my boys. Hurray for Usborne!

I have to share this instance of Usborne's great customer service with you and ask your advice about something related. Two of the items in my most recent book order were a teensy bit battered but Usborne sent me out replacements the very next day. I asked if they wanted me to post the slightly marked ones back to headquarters but they said due to covid, they aren't back in the office so they asked me to donate them to charity (rather than try to sell them on). So where shall I donate them? Especially the phonics box set with 20 books, each worth £5.99!!! Charity shop? Local nursery? What do you think I should do with them?

I am really excited and happy to be out and about with my lovely books. I am at a Football Awards presentation day at a local school! Wish me luck, hoping books don't get soaking!!!
