Yesterday we attended a school in Frome that had a pair of external aluminium doors with now redundant door operators.
We removed the old electronic closers and we replaced the free swing top pivots with Hold open transom closers and drive arms.
As ever theres more than meets the eye with this as the aluminium section needed to be modified to allow the new set up to work.

Needless to say we got the job done and now the doors can be used manually again with the bonus of being held open at 90 degrees when required

This old uPVC door in Clifton had a failed multipoint mechanism.
Unfortunately the like for like mechanism is now obsolete which meant the customer was worried they would need a new door!
But we know this is not the case, we installed a new Yale doormaster universal mechanism which allows us to not only be able to fit in the door but also keep the existing locking locations on the frame, this makes for a much neater/cleaner finish.
We also upgraded the handles and replaced the cylinder with a TS007 snap safe euro with 5x keys.

Good as new
And one happy customer as even with new handles and cylinder its a fraction of the price for a new door

Early morning forfeiture, we were in the centre for 6am
Gain entry to a restaurant and various replacement locks installed across the property
Two fire exits, main front door and side access
All done by 7.15am

Weather spoons now for a coffee

Old uPVC sliding sash window coils upgraded to pre tensioned sash springs.
The existing coils had failed and wr were able to change the pivot shoes, pivot shackles and springs to be able to be back fully usable.
Both windows in the living room and bedroom failed so the tenants were over the moon in this heat to be able to use the windows again

We had an inquiry to see if we could help convert this large door with a broken underfloor operator to a manual operating door.
Not only was the job in Nothing hill London, the door itself had a glass front with no edging to protect the glass
To top it off the existing operator had a far deeper housing than a standard closer.
This made the job completely bespoke with no manual to follow but I knew we could get this done.
We set off at 4.30 am to be on site for 7, and with ALOT of thought and a lot of effort we were able to complete it for the client.
We supplied and fitted a BTS80 Floorspring EN6 which will take such a door at 300kg, backfilled the existing 240mm deep housing to allow the new closer and with a couple of adjustments which seemed like endless lifting on and off were able to make this come together.
From the photos you can see from a door span of 3m we had about 4mm tolerance top and bottom.
Really proud to see what was just an idea in my head come together and offer a solution.

Sometimes you have to take that leap and make what shouldn't work...work!
