Oh, what lovely pieces these were to create! 💙

Jenn asked me to create her wedding ring using jewellery that belonged to her late Mum, reimagined in my own style.

We also used some of the smaller diamonds in a pair of our drop-stranded silver earrings, which are going to look amazing with Jenn's short hair. ✨

But there's another little detail that makes the ring especially meaningful...

We took gold from both of her parents' wedding rings, melted it down and, using a technique called granulation, secreted tiny beads of that gold into the inside of the ring.

Once smoothed and polished, they're completely hidden and can't be felt at all.

So, tucked away at the back of the ring, discreetly and known only to Jenn, is a little piece of both Mum and Dad. Always close.

I love projects like this. Taking pieces that hold so many memories and giving them a new life is such a privilege. ✨

Coloured diamonds in a nibbled gold ring 👌🏻

Love colour AND need durability from a ring? Coloured diamonds have the same properties (ie, verrry hard wearing) as colourless, but add an amazing pop of colour while keeping all the same sparkle. ✨

I wear a ring with a blue diamond in it 💙 because I'm just too clumsy and accident prone to keep anything else looking nice 🫠

The thing that stood out to me most in this message I received at the weekend? It wasn’t actually the part about loving the ring.

It was this 👇🏻

Just a little Emerald appreciation post, seeing as it's May's birthstone.💚💚💚

FUN FACT: One of these emeralds is a synthetic emerald - created by humans, but with the vivid green beauty of a natural stone. Can you guess which one?

Larger emeralds can command a high price tag, so if budget is a consideration for you, synthetics are certainly an option. 😊

Also, I kind of wish I'd been born in May so this could be my birthstone.🤷🏻‍♀️

Some days, I kind of wish I could get engaged all over again - it would mean I'd get to design and wear more rings like this 👆🏻✨

It's a platinum and diamond Dune ring we created for our client's surprise proposal. ♥️

But don't worry husband, I'm not going anywhere. 😘☺️

(Seriously though...a different engagement ring for each day of the week, now wouldn't that be the dream?! 💭)
