Tomorrow we celebrate 3 years of The Colliery Flower Farm, and I can't quite believe I'm saying that. What started as a dream soon became a reality, and I have all of you to thank for that. Without your support, I wouldn't be doing this. I'm so grateful to everyone who has bought a bouquet, trusted me with their wedding flowers, shared a kind word, recommended my business or simply followed along with the journey. Every bit of support has helped this little business continue to grow. There have been moments where I've wondered what the hell I was doing, but always followed by moments that remind me exactly why I started. From the bottom of my heart, thank you!

And a huge, unwavering amount of love and gratitude for the Man who makes all of my dreams possible, I don't know where I'd be without you ❤

Last week I had the honour of creating a funeral tribute for a gentleman who grew up in the countryside. His loved ones wanted to reflect these memories, so together we chose a wildflower, rustic look.

This sustainable sheaf was made as a vase arrangement, packed with wet tissue paper to keep the stems hydrated during the service, as it was to be laid flat. Afterwards, the family were able to take the arrangement home, fill the vase with water and enjoy the flowers, and the memories of their dearly beloved. 🤍

Good morning everyone, Happy Friday! ☀️

I wanted to share this beautiful bouquet with you as we are still celebrating British Flower Week, and I love how this arrangement turned out 🌸

I'm looking forward to doing a Wedding at the stunning Beamish Hall tomorrow, fun fact - the last time I was there was for my school prom 12 years ago 😳

That does mean I've got no availability this weekend, and my diary is filling quickly for next week so please get in touch if you'd like to secure some flowers 🩷

It's that time of year again - a chance for us to really shout about British Flowers and championing those who grow them. There are so many reasons I could give you (and likely bore you with) to choose British grown the next time you need flowers, but most importantly you are supporting somebody's dream. That dream for me includes the gruelling days during winter, working in all weather conditions, managing things out of my control - did I mention the weather? Physically demanding work, watching the first seedlings appear, cutting stems as the sun rises, receiving an enquiry, seeing a customer smile, being trusted with the funeral flowers of a loved one and getting the professional photos back from a Wedding photographer.

The next time you are thinking of buying flowers, whether that's chipping in at work to buy that lovely colleague of yours a leaving gift, or you're a florist yourself looking to source flowers for your own customers, please consider supporting your local flower farmer.

*Now closed* 🌸 A little random act of kindness 🌸

I want to give this bouquet away to someone who truly deserves it.

Tag a person who could use some flowers—birthday, celebration, a pick-me-up, or just because 🩷

I'll draw a winner at random tomorrow morning ready for collection/delivery*

If you’d like to support my small business, I'd be so grateful if you could like/follow my page and share this post — but it’s absolutely not required to be entered into this draw 🫶

*The recipient must be local to be eligible for delivery.

🤍 B&C 11/05/2026 🤍

Last month I had the pleasure of creating the personal flowers for Bethany & Callum's special day. I have known Bethany since our days at college, but it was such a welcome surprise when she contacted me about her Wedding!

I'd just like to thank you both again for allowing me to play a small role in your big day, what a true privilege. Here's to Mr & Mrs Phillips 🥂
