Created with love, for a lifetime of love 🤍

One of the most meaningful pieces I’ve had the privilege of creating was this personalised memorial piece for a family friend who lost his wife, Jennifer.

The dandelion design, made from hand-collected sea glass, represents the beauty of memories and the idea that although someone may no longer be with us, their love and presence remain forever.

The words chosen for this piece perfectly capture the sentiment:

“Goodbyes are not forever… Until we meet again.”

Creating memorial pieces is something I hold very close to my heart. Knowing that a small piece of art can bring comfort, preserve memories, and become something to treasure makes every creation that little bit more special.

🌿 I Made a Wish 🌿

There’s something a little magical about making a wish… ✨

This piece was inspired by those quiet moments when you see a dandelion, close your eyes, make a wish and gently blow the seeds into the breeze. 🌬️🤍

I wanted to capture that feeling using something equally special — sea glass, naturally tumbled and smoothed by the sea, and given a new life as art. 🌊

Each piece of glass has its own shape, colour and story, and I love how the soft seafoam greens and frosted whites bring these little dandelions to life.

I can’t believe we’ve reached 50 followers already! 🥹🤍🌊

When I started this little Sea Glass journey, I never imagined that so many of you would take the time to follow along, like my creations and support my little business.

Every follow, like, comment, share and kind message genuinely means so much to me. 💙

What started as something I found therapeutic and a way to switch off has slowly become something I’m incredibly excited to share with you all — turning beautiful pieces of Seaham Sea Glass into little pieces of art. ✨

🌊🤍 WHY SEA GLASS? 🤍🌊

I thought it was only right to share a little bit about the story behind Tumbled by the Tide.

I started creating sea-glass art because I found the whole process incredibly therapeutic. 💙

There’s something about sitting down with a pile of tiny pieces of sea glass and slowly turning them into something beautiful that helps me switch off from everything else for a while.

Choosing the colours. Finding the perfect shapes. Moving pieces around until they just fit. And then seeing an idea slowly come to life. 🐚✨

Creating has given me something positive to focus on and has genuinely helped me through some difficult times.

And I think there’s something quite beautiful about sea glass itself.

It starts as something ordinary, goes through the waves, gets weathered and smoothed over time… and eventually becomes something completely unique. 🌊

Maybe that’s part of why I find it so comforting.

Even things that have been through rough waters can become something beautiful. 🤍

And that’s where Tumbled by the Tide began.

What started as something therapeutic for me has grown into a little creative adventure that I’m so excited to share with you. 💙

There’s something so therapeutic about being by the sea, searching for little treasures that have been naturally tumbled and smoothed over time — and I can’t wait to turn today’s finds into something beautiful. 🐚💙

🌊✨ MY VERY FIRST CREATION! ✨🌊

Now that I have finally taken the plunge and created a page 🥳 I can finally share the very first piece I made for Tumbled by the Tide! 🥹🐚

This little sea-glass heart is called “Love” 💚 — and I think it’s quite fitting that my very first creation is a heart, because this little adventure has been made with so much love.

I actually started creating sea-glass art because I found the whole process incredibly therapeutic.

When I’m creating, I can switch off from everything else for a little while. Choosing each individual piece of sea glass, thinking about the colours and shapes, and slowly watching an idea come to life gives me something positive to focus on. It has become a little bit of peace and quiet for my mind, and has genuinely helped me through some difficult times with my mental health. 🌊🤍

There’s something quite special about taking pieces of glass that have been tumbled, weathered and smoothed by the sea, and turning them into something beautiful. In a strange way, I think there’s a little reminder in that too — that even things that have been through rough times can become something beautiful. ✨

And so, Tumbled by the Tide was born. 🐚

My hope is that I can create pieces that bring that same feeling of happiness and comfort to other people — whether it’s a personalised gift, a special memory of someone you love, a favourite place, a wedding keepsake, a family or pet portrait, or simply something beautiful for your home.

This is just the beginning, but I’m so excited to see where this little adventure takes me. 💕
