Paul Harry Barron is a linguist and scholar with a longstanding interest in practical Qabalah and Western esoteric traditions, grounded in early engagement with Jewish spirituality, magic and holistic studies. His work brings together linguistic precision and esoteric insight in the study of historical magical texts.

With David Rankine, he co-edited The Complete Grimoire of Pope Honorius (Avalonia), a comprehensive English-language edition of one of the most influential French grimoires of the early modern period. His research sits at the intersection of translation, historical magic and practical scholarship, making lesser-known esoteric sources accessible to contemporary readers.

Jean-Luc Chaumeil is a French author and journalist best known for his research into The Priory of Sion and the mysteries of Rennes-le-Château. Since the 1970s he has delved into the archives, interviews and documents surrounding this modern myth, bringing together material from his French works on the subject into a single definitive English edition. His work traces the web of ciphers, genealogies, secret societies and esoteric lore connected with bloodlines, lost treasure and the legacy of the Priory of Sion.

Jonathan Tapsell, born in 1964 in Sussex, developed an early interest in history and the esoteric rooted in the region’s late and forceful conversion to Christianity. In 1999 he was entrusted with archiving the world’s largest collection of Witchcraft memorabilia, the Doreen Valiente Collection, work which led directly to the posthumous publication of Valiente’s poetry in Charge of the Goddess.

Alongside his esoteric research, Jonathan has worked across a wide creative field, including making action films in Asia, producing educational documentaries for the House of Lords, organising festivals and contributing to numerous magazines. His published works include The Psychic Jungle (2012) and London’s Mystical Legacy (with Toyne Newton, 2013), and he has also contributed to the Encyclopedia of Modern Witchcraft and Neo-Paganism (2002).

Kim Huggens is a researcher and author whose work focuses on malefic-erotic magic of Late Antiquity, world mythology, Tarot and Vodou. She is the editor of three Avalonia anthologies – From a Drop of Water, VS. and Memento Mori – and has over seventeen years’ experience as a professional Tarot reader. With Nic Phillips, she co-created Sol Invictus: The God Tarot and Pistis Sophia: The Goddess Tarot.

She is the author of Tarot 101: Mastering the Art of Reading the Cards (Llewellyn, 2010) and contributes articles and papers to a range of journals and anthologies. A Vodou practitioner, she is a Hounsi Lave Tet with Sosyete Gade Nou Leve and Body Master of the Tamion Camp of the Ordo Templi Orientis. Alongside her scholarly and magical work, she creates ritual art, teaches Tarot, writes short fiction and roleplays.

A mother of five, Lyn Baylis was born in London in 1949. Lyn's love of winemaking started at a very early age. Perched on her mother’s draining board she would watch her prepare and make wine until finally she was allowed to stir the ingredients and eventually get involved with the whole process. Over the years she shared her winemaking skills with a number of winemaking circles, honing her skill by taking part in competitions.

Lyn is a Multifaith Chaplain to whom spirituality has always been important – it combines with her love of the countryside to give an added dimension to her winemaking. In addition, by paying special attention to the medicinal and spiritual qualities of her ingredients, she began to make wines combining all these elements to create a unique whole.

Lyn grew up in Sussex and has recently retired there, although she has no plans to stop making wines or giving talks on all aspects of winemaking. An advocate of the holistic approach to medicine and natural remedies she is presently engaged in additional research into wine and its curative qualities.
