Fabulous weekend at The Cubbyhole creating Klimt inspired collage and layering. These beautiful pieces were created by 9 wonderful people who became Klimt inspired artists. Excellent craic, great company, and of course lots of gold! ✨️✨️✨️

"Tell me an unusual fact about Gustav Klimt."

An unusual fact about Gustav Klimt is that, despite being famous for his sensual and often erotic portrayals of women, he was an intensely private person who reportedly never married or publicly acknowledged any long-term romantic relationships. Yet, Klimt fathered at least 14 children with various women. He kept his private life so concealed that even his closest friends knew little about it, and much of what we know about his personal relationships comes from indirect sources or the biographies of others.

Klimt also dressed quite eccentrically; he often wore a long, flowing blue robe, resembling a monk's garment, while working in his studio. He didn’t wear underwear under his robe, preferring comfort and freedom, and would often work barefoot. This bohemian lifestyle, combined with his focus on sensuality and the female form, made him a very unconventional figure even within the progressive art circles of Vienna at the time.
