Miranda brought me lots of items of clothing belonging to her late husband, Ste, because she wanted me to make bears for her grandchildren.

She had everything so beautifully organised, with bags carefully labelled with details about each grandchild — which clothes they had chosen to be used and the special sentiment they wanted written on their bear.

One child wanted “Love Grandad Lister”, and that really made me stop and think. I thought, I know a Ste Lister… surely it can’t be the same person. I would have to ask Miranda when she picked up the bears and sadly it is the same Ste Lister. ❤️

This is the first time I’ve ever known the person, who isn't family, who actually wore the clothes I’ve been given to make memory bears. It makes these bears feel even more personal and meaningful to me.

Knowing a little of Ste, knowing that these clothes were his, and now knowing that they’re being transformed into bears for his grandchildren to treasure, makes this order incredibly special. ❤️

A little piece of Grandad, made into something they can hold onto forever.

Kate brought me a sweatshirt that belonged to her brother-in-law and asked me to turn it into something meaningful that her husband could keep in his office.

I transformed that much-loved sweatshirt into a cushion, keeping the original details, including the hood, drawstrings, lettering and adding his name so that a little piece of Charlie can stay close.

I hope this cushion brings him comfort on the difficult days and reminds him of the love, memories and connection they shared.

Sometimes the most precious keepsakes are made from the things that meant something to someone we love.

🩵 A very special memory bear 🩵

This one has been a tough one to make.

The beautiful lady whose clothes I’ve used was my mother-in-law for nearly 40 years. Sadly, we lost her on 31st July, just days before what would have been her third holiday to Florida. 💔

But she wasn’t just my mother-in-law… she was my friend and my travel companion. We shared some truly wonderful adventures over the years — two Caribbean cruises, trips to Florida, Australia and Abu Dhabi, along with so many other happy memories that I will treasure forever. ✈️🌴🚢

Making this bear from her clothes has been emotional, but also incredibly special. There’s something comforting about knowing that a little piece of her will always be with us. 🧸❤️

I hope this little bear can bring comfort to the family and serve as a reminder of a very special lady, the wonderful memories we made together, and all the adventures we shared.

Forever loved, forever missed, and forever part of our family. 🩵🤍
