and are evolving, over the last few years new product categories are emerging within the category due to the demand for more sustainable and which includes switching to more sustainable cleansing and conditioning agents or creating formulas that reduce the amount of water needed for cleansing, conditoning and hair styling, both in the manufacturing process and for general use.
Scalp care is now a whole new product category, its evolution is changing the way we look after our hair and scalp and is changing the traditional approach to cleansing, conditioning and hair styling.
Over the past few years we have been very involved in developing formulas within this category which has helped me learn about innovative approches to hair and scalp care, it is also refreshing to see quite a few suppliers bringing to market more natural alternatives to synthetic conditioning agents such as PQ10 and BTAC, they seem to have their challenges but do perform really well.
Often the science in haircare goes overlooked, it really isn’t easy and experience is essential to develop cutting edge formulations.
