Three book ladies, THREE times the usual stock, three times the help… and soooo much fun! 🤩📚💛

If you’d love to join Usborne but there’s already someone really active in your area, ask them about joining their team! 🙋‍♀️

Having local book buddies means we can share stock, team up for events, help each other set up and cheer each other on as we grow our businesses. And there’s always someone who understands why you’re getting excited about another delivery of books! 🤣📦

Here are three of us setting up a stall together… just look at all those books! 😍 Imagine being part of this, chatting with customers, helping children find their next favourite read and having a laugh with your teamies along the way.

Especially in the run up to Christmas, we can’t be everywhere. Having more local partners means we can reach more events, schools and nurseries and get even MORE books into children’s hands! 🎄📚

Teaming up with Ally and Katie meant we could bring a MASSIVE book stall… and we had an absolute blast together! Just look at all those books 😍

Sharing stock, setting up together, cheering each other on and laughing our way through the day while getting more books into children’s hands. These are the moments that make me think… how lucky am I that this is my work?! 🥰

Want your child to LOVE reading? You might need to stop choosing their books… 👀📚

I know, I know…

We see the beautiful book.
We read the blurb.
We KNOW they’re going to love it.

We hand it over enthusiastically and they look at us like we’ve just suggested they read the Argos catalogue. 🤣

But here’s the thing…

Sometimes the best way to encourage a child to read is simply to let THEM choose.

⚽ Football books count.
😂 Joke books count.
🎨 Graphic novels count.
🦖 Fact books count.
💩 And yes… even the book containing more poo facts than you ever wanted to know COUNTS!

When children have ownership over what they read, it stops feeling like something they’re being made to do and starts becoming something they’ve chosen.

And THAT’S where the magic can happen. ❤️📚

We don’t need every book to be challenging, educational or something we’d personally choose.

Sometimes we just need the child to think…

“I WANT TO READ THAT!”

So next time you’re browsing books together, try stepping back and seeing what THEY pick.

You might be surprised.
