Product Spotlight #6 - Hand Balm!

This product was developed in order to help nourish the skin. Despite Covid restrictions waning, we still live in a world where hand sanitisers are a regular thing which, although necessary to reduce germ spreading, dry the skin relentlessly! Our natural balm is extremely nourishing and therefore perfect to relieve that post-sanitising itchy and scratchy feel. It is also suitable for gardeners, people doing manual labour or anyone who wants to condition their hands the natural way!

Product Spotlight #6 - Hand Balm

A big part of this product coming to life was thinking about the packaging and how to create the most useful design while still keeping things sustainable. People tend to prefer squeezy style plastic bottles for convenience when it comes to hand cream but I didn’t want to have to compromise on my sustainable ethos for convenience; good skin should not cost the earth. That’s why I decided on small glass jars that you can easily dip your finger into to scoop out some balm. They’re small enough to remain light to carry around without weighing you down but they are also re-useable/recyclable after use - a win win!

Product Spotlight #6 - Hand Balm!

This product has a blend of five essential oils which make for a luxurious scent. The complexity of the mix results in woody undertones to the flowery scent and even a hint of spice. What makes me laugh is that the hand balm seems to smell slightly different to each person I meet. My daughter always says it reminds her of Christmas (perhaps the use of cinnamon which we associate with colder months) while others tell me it smells like a forest or pine trees… you’ll have to get yourself a pot and see what you find!

Our natural hand balm is fantastic for dry hands. You only need the tiniest amount in one go as it is so rich and nourishing… a little really does go a long way! Plus, it means your pot will last longer. We do two sizes for convenience: a 60ml pot for your bathroom cabinet or a handy 15ml pot to keep in your handbag when on the go so that your hands never have to compromise.

When you turn and look at the label on your mass produced beauty products, do you know what the ingredients are ..
Well you're not alone if you don't and often they can be disguised with a fancy sounding chemical name.
The worst offenders, which we definitely don't want on or in our skin are as follows:

❌Toluene
❌Aluminium
❌Plastics

So excited about having a pop up shop again this Sunday at in Shrewsbury 😃 It is a gorgeous creative space where you can have a wonderful coffee, chill and watch the world go by and this Sunday you can also shop for early Christmas pressies from The Balm Pantry 😘 Or just come and say hello 👋

Thank you so much to Tallulah Tay for todays wonderful well-being for winter fair, it was so lovely to meet all the lovely suppliers and customers alike 😘 It was great and the events on offer were so interesting, looking forward to next event in the spring x
