🎣 Catch Report Incoming! 🎣 - Team Member

Got down to the lake and couldn’t decide where to set up, so I went for the quieter side with the wind pushing in. Took my time getting sorted and went in with a bottom bait setup — size 6 long shank, micro ring swivel, hook bead, and a spinner swivel covered in heat shrink.

Never ignore the margins! Dropped a rod about 6ft out under some trees to my left, baited with boilie and pellet mix, boosted with liquid food and molasses. About an hour and a half later… the rod tore off! 💥

Landed a lovely scarlet mirror at 21lb — absolute confidence in every Bite Tackle component. 👊

Looking ahead to winter on the small, low-stocked pools — the w**d means it’s time to switch things up with hinge stiffs for the win.

As always, total confidence in the gear. 💪

Bite Tackle Team – Francesco Amoruso

Francesco headed back to Wetlands this week to put the Bite Wide Hooks through their paces. Despite a tough start when one of his reels broke on arrival at 7am, he pushed on and set up on peg 6, sticking with his trusted approach.

Using the bait boat, he located a 4ft drop in the relatively shallow lake and presented perfectly tied slip-D rigs with 20mm Sticky Krill wafters, all mounted on Bite Wide Hooks.

The action came steadily throughout the session:
🔻7:30pm – a 16lb mirror to kick things off.
🔻3:30am – a hard-fighting 27lb mirror.
🔻4:30am – a stunning 20lb common.
🔻10:00am – another cracking 27lb mirror.

Fishing a rod down, Francesco still managed to land four quality carp in less than 24 hours and has one more night ahead to see what else the session produces.

Here’s team member Jack Kay with an absolutely immaculate mirror carp from his local syndicate water, tipping the scales at around 45lb. Don’t let the photo fool you — this chunk is no small fish. Jack’s just massive, which makes this beast of a mirror look half its size! Caught after putting in the graft and working the spot for weeks, this one came as part of a well-earned hit. The definition and condition on this fish are unreal — proper old-school character and a testament to the quality of the venue.

Big respect, Jack. Proof that the effort pays off.

Team Bite’s Francesco Amoruso put in a serious shift this week and walked away with a string of nailed-on results. Arriving on the bank early morning, Francesco had his rods positioned and fishing by 10:30 AM, and it didn’t take long for the action to start.

By 11:00 AM, the first take came—a chunky bream nailed cleanly in the bottom lip, followed by two more slabs, all clearly hooked with precision. A good sign that the rig mechanics were on point from the off.

🔻2:30 PM: A 14lb common made an appearance.
🔻5:00 PM: A stunning 17lb mirror slipped into the net.
🔻On the final day: Francesco topped the session off with a mirror just over 20lb, rounding out a cracking few days on the bank.
