Curiosity boxes

Curious as to what’s inside? We love these decorative boxes which have been produced to great detail and inspired from decorative trinket boxes through the ages, whether Romanov, Renaissance or the capture of timeless details like sacred hearts. Something decorative that is also practical, well a little practical 🤭

Showroom upgrade!

We took the opportunity this week to install this beauty of a fire place surround with a very realistic stone look finish, hand crafted from marble dust and resin. Weighing in at over 73kg it certainly felt like we were lifting stone!!
It totally transforms the space and we absolutely love it! (Andrew already planning ahead to Christmas and how he’s going to decorate!) All part of our ongoing plans to bring even more beauty into our showroom and all our lives.

Cupcakes anyone?

We’ve teamed up with our friends at Eight & Bob Official and Fragrance & beauty distributor to celebrate Fathers Day (and us all!) with these wonderfully delicious handmade, customised cupcakes! Come and enjoy a cupcake in-store, hear the story behind this iconic perfume brand and experience these captivating scents. We are also offering a boxed set of sample perfumes, retailing at £54, free with any 100ml Eight & Bob perfume, while stocks last.

Introducing exquisite plaster wall plaques…

These commissions have been a long time coming, entirely hand made in England from British gypsum plaster and offering truly amazing detail. They feature reliefs from Leonardo da Vinci’s Annunciation and Head of Leda (longtime favourites) and Birds & Papyrus, Fifth Dynasty with Kingfishers, sacred Ibis and herons. We’re so pleased and delighted the manufacturer finally agreed to make these for us again, last seen in store more than nine years ago!

Giddy up, there’s newness in town💫

Hello all and welcome to the weekend, and welcome to Amadeus, our floor standing horse lamp just arrived from Germany! Handsome isn’t he? Lots of unpacking and sharing to come as multiple pallets of new stock today to keep us busy so can’t wait to share with you all.
Amadeus is supplied with a black linen, gold lined shade but looks equally brilliant showcasing an unusual lightbulb* like our iridescent version on show here.

That’s the possible limit of French this glorious Monday morning 🤭 but we wanted to share how beautifully welcoming our store feels, especially just back from overseas travels.

Nothing like appreciating home (in this case our store) and our day to day rituals! Wishing you all a beautiful day and week ahead as summer unfolds. Talking of rituals Cosmos seems to be preparing for a rather chilled day ahead! 🤭

Today we welcome The Galaxy, The Tree of Life, a Raincloud and a Dandelion, designs depicted in crystal through unique 3D laser engineering, with rechargeable dimmable LED lighting, and making their proud debut in our Cabinet of Curiosities.
The only raincloud appearing for our gloriously sunny and warm bank holiday weekend. Amazing!

What makes a home?

Obviously leading with Cosmo🫠 as there’s nothing like a beloved pet to come home to, or in our case bring to work!

It all comes down to details, and how we choose to bring these into our homes. From hand cut & woven rugs, this one shaded and shaped to resemble leaves from a botanical garden, to rich embroidery, to pleated shades, faux fur throws, velvet prints, silk flowers, tassels (did we mention velvet🤭) handmade trays with renaissance imagery, the glow of candles and always the careful placement of beautiful objet, such as this gold leaf ginkgo tree ornament representing love & enlightenment.

We love what we do by curating and bringing all these treasures to our store so you can truly enrich your home. You’re so welcome ❤️

We’re absolutely loving our newly named ‘cabinet of curiosities’ and that we get to increase our display space (always a challenge!)
Everything looks so rich and gorgeous with the inviting green painted interior and black lacquered frame, and practical too with 8 drawers to fill(!)
