absolutely nailed this take on Dynamite by Taio Cruz, and what an amazing idea to bring to life, with an orchestra playing a range of pop hits written by the legendary Max Martin 🔥

Sunset sessions presents… 🌅

An evening with 4x award-nominated performer, multi-instrumentalist and freestyle genius Marshall Mandiangu at deep dive bar! 🎷

Born and raised in West London before moving to Brighton, Marshall is inspired by music and art all around the world, from Michael Jackson and James Brown through to Congolese artists like Matou Samuel, Fally Ipupa and Aimé Nkanu - a unique blend of ancestral heritage and contemporary flavour that sees the best of both worlds being combined for an unforgettable performance 🔥

He is joined by generational guitarist & Sunset Sessions founder Tom Inkpen, as well as the ever-so-wonderful jazz pianist George Murrel for a night of spontaneity, soul and joyful improvisation 🎶

This is a venue with limited capacity so make sure you get there in good time to be guaranteed entry! 👀

Still can’t get over what an amazing night this was! 🧡

Just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone who helped make this event happen; to all the incredible performers, artists, creatives and everyone who contributed to make this event possible - we wouldn’t be able to do it without you! 🌅

Thank you to for the opportunity to share the love, thanks to for adding so much to this community, thank you to everyone who’s bought themselves a T-shirt (just a few left now!) and thank you to every single one of you who turned out to support the grassroots music scene in Brighton 🎶

Brighton - we need your help! 👀

The last few months have been tough and it’s taken a lot of work to get to this point, but we were finally able to bring you another event last Friday with some of the city’s best musicians, and what a massive success it was!

We love putting on these events and keeping them completely free so they are accessible and fun for everyone, but our permission from the council to host Sunset Sessions comes at no small cost, and all the other fees associated with these events such as equipment, insurance, travel and more come from our own pockets.

We’re a volunteer-led project - nobody is taking a wage from Sunset Sessions.
We put our own time, energy and money into making these events happen because we genuinely believe Brighton needs more spaces like this.

We feel extremely lucky to have built such a great community, and there comes a time when we must turn to you and ask for your help as, we will only be able to continue running these events for free with your support. Please consider donating whatever you can to help us cover the cost of these events - we can’t do it without you!
