Free shop has been going so well lately, at the new location! See you all next Saturday!

Regarding PMs to this group: I, the person mainly running it, rarely check them due to time constraints and general texting-type anxiety. I also need to switch from my personal profile to this page on the Messenger app to see PMs for this page, another reason I don't usually notice if there is PMs. This page is mainly for updates about the free shop. However, if you have something you need to say or ask, commenting on a post on this page asking me to read your message would be much appreciated and the quickest way to get me to read and respond! Thank you to anyone following our page willing to do this little accomodation and I apologize for any inconvenience surrounding the PMs.

update: due to bereavement free shop will not be on upcoming Saturday, instead it will begin again the Saturday after (June 18th). apologies will post with all details closer to then.

refreshed and ready to begin again - free shop will be back on from next Saturday! still on atokes croft but slightly down the road keep and eye out as we will post all the details here soon.

FREE SHOP: free shop will be off for the most part until june as all volunteers are very busy atm! if we happen to do the odd one here and there ill let everyone know. apologies but we are all genuinely too busy and there has always been only a few of us able to do it consistently. it is also partially because it has become a lot more work due to us planning on moving it down to nine tree hill. this is because we have simply had too many violent incidents where we are now and none of us should have to deal with the stress of being attacked or threatened, as has happened multiple times in the past. it causes us to have to shut down early, risk damage to equipment & stock and also just sucks for us. (to not cast a negative light of stoke croft folk i want to clarify also that usually violent incidents are instigated by people we have never met/newcomers. not always, but mostly. we appreciate stokes locals who hang out and help out, you are fine company and we will not go far).

19/03/22 - free shop will be on tomorrow from around 2ish.

Also: we are hoping to start handing out naloxone during free shop. If anyone knows where we could acquire a small bulk free/cheap, or has any to donate, please comment! Will post here if manage to get a hold of some.
Remember, naloxone is small and simple to use, free for everyone from Bristol Drugs Project and it saves lives!! There is no shame in having it. It is a vital part of any good first aid kit. We should all carry or at least have a Naloxone kit at home, op**te user or not. You never know what may happen and when. Stay safe out there and lets protect eachother too.

12/03/22 - we are ready to run free shop this Saturday but weather forecast looks bad! will come down for 2 to try and set up but if it starts pi***ng down will shut down early or not set up at all. Will try our best but don't hold out for it.
