We’re really proud to share something important with our community ❤️

Here at The Indoor Market, we’ve always believed in looking out for one another, it’s a fundamental part of our ethos. Alongside our independent retailers, café, and bakery, we’re committed to doing our bit to keep our community safe.

Many of you will already know that we have a defibrillator on the front of our building, registered with The Circuit, which has been accessed several times to help those in need.

Now, we’ve taken another step.

We’ve added a Stop The Bleed kit to the cabinet; a potentially life-saving resource in an emergency. The kit is registered with The Bleed Map and, subject to approval, will soon be available as part of the guidance given when calling 999.

We hope it’s never needed, but it’s there if it is.

Did you know there’s a friendly, welcoming book club meeting upstairs at the Market Café Lounge?

Tomorrow at 11am, the group will be discussing Migrations by Charlotte McConaghy. It’s always a lively and thoughtful conversation, and the group is a real mix of ages and backgrounds; currently between 10 and 16 members, which makes for brilliant discussion and new perspectives.

The Book Club meets on the first Wednesday of every month at 11am, upstairs at The Market Café Lounge, 98 Regent Street. If you love reading, enjoy good conversation, or simply fancy trying something new, you’d be very welcome to join. There’s no pressure, just coffee, books and friendly faces.

Two years ago today, Carly opened the doors to Yarn & Yardage… and what she’s built since then is so much more than a yarn shop.

Through sheer hard work, courage and a whole lot of heart, she’s created a space that brings people together. From the incredible Yarn Bombers brightening our streets with post box toppers and beautiful park flowers, to the Knit & Natter gatherings at the Market Café that have sparked friendships (and supported fellow local businesses too), Carly has woven community into everything she does.

Yarn & Yardage isn’t just about wool and patterns, it’s about connection, creativity, kindness and belonging. That’s all down to you, Carly.

Happy 2nd Birthday to an amazing small business and the even more amazing woman behind it. Here’s to many more years of colour, community and crafty magic 🧶✨💕
