Not our usual kind of post but it’s been far from a normal kind of year…wanted to share this little moment of pure escapism our friends captured of us ice skating badly in the rain together a couple of weeks ago. Weekends have not been a thing for us as a family for over 7 years with having the physical shops and it feels so strange not to be open this wknd before Christmas especially but instead we will be going out to support our local indie shops and encourage you to do the same for any last min present bits or wrapping paper as it all makes a difference to them 🙏 (tagged just a few of our favs for inspo ✨)

Thank you so much for all your support during one of the most difficult years, we appreciate every single one of your orders and kind words of encouragement. We hope you all get to have a lovely Christmas or just a general break whether you’re hosting or hibernating heading into 2024…

It’s a funny feeling seeing all the amazing Christmas windows popping up in all our favourite shops - a joy to see but a little emotional to miss out on creating our own display this year so I’m leaning into that nostalgic feeling & have been looking back at all our Xmas windows from over the last 7 years in both Bristol & Nailsworth.

Creating visual displays was always one of my favourite things to do for our business & often my talented sis would lend a big hand with her window drawing skills 🎨 - tomorrow we are doing a mini Xmas market together which we’ve both been making decs for, scratching that creative itch a bit ☺️

I thought I’d share my little look back with you & for you long term followers, see which ones you can remember 🌲✨…

1 & 2 〰️ 2022 Bristol with snow sprayed hand cut snowflake windows ❄️

3 〰️ 2021 Nailsworth when I handmade a giant straw wreath
❤️🤍

4 〰️ 2021 Bristol where created the most amazing dried flower wreath display which went on to be used as a wedding backdrop 🙌

5 〰️ 2020 Nailsworth when again created an incredible dried flower cloud which is still going strong to this day, hanging up in the gorgeous ✨

6 〰️ 2020 Bristol was our first year & a more traditional one with Xmas tree filled with decs & beautiful displays created by the whole Truce team 🖤

7 〰️ 2019 Nailsworth with window painting of Luna in the snow amongst Silver Birch trees by my sister 🐾

8 〰️ 2018 Nailsworth, probably my favourite one created by capturing so much detail of both our products & the landmarks of Nailsworth (we won 2nd prize for our display that year in the town competition!) ⭐️

9 〰️ 2017 Nailsworth with foraged foliage to create a woodland theme 🍂

10 〰️ 2016 Nailsworth was our very first one, simple & stylish 🖤
