I said this year I wouldn't do any big collections unless they were worth it. Rare, pest free and easy to deal with. Diane's collection is exactly that.

Diane emailed me asking for urgent help due to a recent diagnosis and limited time. The responsibility and honour I feel when private collectors choose us to re-home their plants is overwhelming. The amount of love and time gone into these slow growing plants is not something to be discarded.

When I saw the photos I knew we had to help. Despite the struggle, I love what we do more than anything I've ever done in my life and as long as there's people out there that need help, I'll continue to do it.

Managed a quick trip to the new HQ in Banwell this weekend, in-between a LOT of housework, moving two entire rooms around in a vain attempt to fit a baby into our house.

Chris and family have got the most incredible setup in this new space and I am very jealous! We have known these guys since our very early days of plant slinging and had many a conversation about the difficulties of self employed life.

It's an absolute joy to see the progress they've made and these incredible plants thriving in their care. If you need Agaves and hardy succulents, check them out!

OKAY PEOPLE

Thanks for everyone's responses to my story polls on Monday. We have learnt two main things. Genus groups are a good shout and you need more notice about online drops.

SO first up we have a group of 100 Mammillaria and Agave plants. Some large and show quality. Tons not shown here.

We are testing an auction style piece of software for our website, which will allow me to set the starting price low and let you guys decide what you want to pay. If it works, it may well take the stress off of both of us and give people a lot more time to figure out what they want.

If this testing goes ok we will look to launch this first group next week, but I will keep you updated.

Some absolutely stunning photos of us at by the incredibly talented, long time customer and pal . Mama T should do some modelling, she was the star of the show last week!

Our plans this year? As much as we love markets and events, we'll not be taking part in any of the big ones. We almost signed up to the new Badminton RHS show but I just cannae be arsed if I'm honest with yas.

Shows take it right out of me at the best of times and with baby on the way plus an almost full time job on "the side", plus newfound respect for my own time, it's just not worth it.

What'll we be doing instead? Well some very special imports are on their way, plus a couple of potentially very interesting plant collections in the pipeline too. Plus a new wholesale offering. So we'll be busy just from home, not out and about.

Stay tuned for more updates coming as soon as poss!

Had an absolute blast at on Saturday thanks to everyone who came down and for the photos. Will post more soon as I've recovered. Yes I'm still not recovered and questioning my entire life choices but that's another topic for another day.

All our leftover popup stock is now half price online. Go quick, email subscribers have already gotten in there and there's only a few of each available ðŸĪŠðŸ’š

A few new bits online - some fab vintage & handmade pots and a few tiny bits of our vintage terracotta. Only the stuff that is easy to ship.

We still have a bunch of large pots available, we'll be bringing to next weekend for anyone coming there.

The best plant in the world. I'll fight you on it.

Sinningia leucotricha - the fuzzy, caudex forming, breathtakingly fascinating thing that ticks every single box.

I promise we can have a fight about it if you want.

Mine lives on this sunny east facing upstairs window where it gets a tonne of light and warmth.

I forgot to water it over winter (caudex plants often grow throughout our winter period here in the UK) and it lost some really long beautiful leaves. So it's protesting now with some very small foliage.

But I'm doing lots of apologising and it seems to be recovering ok.

Were still in limbo land here with all my tender plants inside the house. It's too cold at night to be putting them into an unheated greenhouse yet. But I can't wait for the great exodus so I can have some windowsills back.
