Putting together 20 jars in one go. I like to put one stem that’s the same in each and just keep building up the all the arrangements in that way - until they are full. It’s time consuming but is a way of making sure that each one has the same in it. Which is essential if they are going on sale together. These photos show the process. The fourth pic is all the leaves I took off that would have been below the water line. It’s vital to take all this off so that it doesn’t make the water go bad and stop the uptake of fresh water by the stems.

Been on holiday - now I’m back feeling relaxed. Some gorgeous Acroclinium I hung to dry a few weeks looking great today. Love the soft pink and the yellow and black centres..

An alliance with Downend School means that I have found a polytunnel! This means I can extend the growing season providing flowers earlier and later in the year. I will be growing plants for the school to use in their SEN garden. What a great cause! So exciting!

Brilliant workshop today at my patch. Thank you to the ladies that came over. Had a great time creating some pictures using pressed flowers and eating homemade cake. Rain didn’t stop play as we got out between the showers to check out the flowers! A lovely afternoon. I’m sure you will agree that the pictures are beautiful.
