Chloe Metson Makes Small and independent lino print artist based in Bristol, UK Welcome to the page for Chloe Metson Makes! I'm an independent artist living in Bristol.

I use a technique called lino cutting in order to create my prints and cards. I love the quirky, unique and beautiful things in the world around us, which often becomes inspiration for my art. I started lino cutting and printing as a form of art therapy. As an MS and bipolar warrior, I find the slow process of carving and printing a form of relaxation and I love the buzz I get when I finally see a finished print! Desperately wanted to work with some colour today and as I'm not ready for reduction lino printing quite yet, I'm experimenting with neon coloured backgrounds for my Debbie Harry print. Fingers crossed it turns out as expected 🙃 Got some lovely textures with the handmade paper I use and I love working with neon tones...it brings me joy.

Needed a bit of quiet, self care time today. Feel utterly rotten after over doing it yesterday. I did an exercise vid, followed by hoovering which was enough to lay me out flat for the whole day. When will I learn?! Knitting a big ol' cardy.... but god, i wish my knitting was neater! Made a few mistakes, but I keep plodding on. Kind of think it wouldn't be me, or my creation, if it was perfect! 😅 ❤️

Hazzaaaa! My first print of the year! This Scottish thistle comes in two colour ways - black, and violet & neon pink. Loving experimenting again and getting back into it. I've decided 2026 is going to be the year of colour, splashes of neon with all kinds of loveliness! NB: it will also be the year of better photos.... these were a bit hastily done! 😆
