After SP's frantic session during the week I had to get down to Sandgate. I met him there for 9pm armed with 30 fresh blacks from Fishermans Corner , top bait Jon as always!

Keeping it simple with some long flowing 1 up 1 downs 1/0 mustad vikings, it was bass from the off, 40cm fish snatching at the baits initially.

2 hours before the high the larger bass moved in and I had my quota for the night, best fish going 3.5lb. Great few hours. 🎣👍

Yesterday evening I ventured out with Scott Punton to the slipway at Sandwich after seeing the drop in the wind on the forecast. Conditions were great, if only we had cod in the channel still we'd have been game on! 😭

We were kept fairly busy on the herring/squid baits in close due to the tidal w**d left over from the storm at distance.

Nice mixed bag of 6 strap congers, dabs to 27cm, whiting to 30cm, dogs and a small thorny.

Finally got out although N/E gusts to 29 weren't favourable... managed a nice hound going just over 10lb on whole squid dongle pulley and a sizable bass for the table on live pouting down the wall. Hope you're catching if out this weekend!

Billy's recent trip to Skarnsundet Norway 🇳🇴 with some quality fish landed on lures and bait. These two fish taken on our heavy duty 2 hook flapper rigs running 50lb amnesia snoods and 3/0 Koike WMS baited with ragworm. Koike Fishing
