Great to get out to our old stomping grounds today in Dover.

Dad nailing the first bass on a whole squid under a float.

Then my turn with a 3lb bass on a live pouting.

Over the low we had Hounds to 6lb on spider peeler/prawn using the Dongle rigs. 🎣👍👍

When I made the Dongle Loop Rigs, rays were what I had in mind. Two baits producing a bigger scent trail and on venues like Sandwich Bay near me, I believe that can make a real difference when trying to attract them on an ebbing tide.

Toby proved the theory perfectly with this double shot of Small-Eyed Rays at 4lb and 10lb, taken on Squid & Sandeel wraps down in Dorset.

A beautiful 70cm Bass landed on our 3/0 Dongle Rig using squid bait! 🦑

The fish was photographed and safely returned to fight another day. 👏
