I’ve always had a soft spot for Triumph twins🥰.
I had one of the early Speedmaster's when they first came out as well as other Trump's back in the day. The only thing I never really liked was the sound from the exhausts. I even imported some expensive custom pipes and, to be honest, they still sounded pretty💩. Interestingly, I later spotted the bike had ended up in Texas😯. The pipes had rusted badly, but the rest of the bike looked great.
I’m not sure where those early Speedmaster's were actually built, but a very experienced bike mechanic once described mine as a beautiful piece of engineering, and I’d agree with that.

What’s your favourite Triumph, old or new?

There’s more to Triumph motorcycles than bikes that look old. The British bike-builder makes masterpieces that span a range of styles.

Aston Martin has finally made a road bike, well, with a little help from Brough Superior.
This is the new AMB 002 Roadster, the first road legal bike from the Aston Martin and Brough Superior partnership.
It's certainly not short on interesting engineering, 1083 cc V twin, 130 bhp, 190 kg, a titanium frame, carbon fibre bodywork and that rather unusual Brough Superior front suspension.
Only 300 are going to be built and, unsurprisingly, they haven't announced the price yet.
I can't quite decide whether I think it's stunning or whether there's just a bit too much going on.
What do you reckon, beautiful bit of engineering, or would you rather have a conventional superbike for what this is likely to cost?

Bultaco is back, but is this really a Bultaco?
Anyone who remembers the Sherpa T, Pursang or Frontera will probably have an opinion on this one.
The famous Spanish name has returned on the new Bultaco Rally GT 300, a 292cc single cylinder adventure bike producing a claimed 28hp and weighing around 150kg.
It looks decent value too, with ABS, a TFT display and even a built in dashcam.
But while the bike was developed with Leonart in Spain, it is manufactured in China and is closely based on the existing Leonart Rally 300.
So what do you reckon, is it good to see the Bultaco name back on a modern bike, or should famous old names only return with something genuinely their own?
Recent UK coverage specifically says it's still waiting for confirmation on whether it will come to Britain.

How good are you at judging how quickly you can actually stop?
New motorcycle research has produced a slightly uncomfortable result, around one rider in two underestimated the braking distance they would actually need.
The riders weren't complete novices either. The study found that experience and annual mileage alone didn't necessarily make riders better at judging the distance.
It did find something that probably won't surprise anyone who's done proper rider training, regular emergency braking practice tended to result in shorter stopping distances.
When did you last deliberately practise an emergency stop on your bike, and do you reckon you'd stop where you expected to?

Does this look like a Norton should? The new Norton Manx R has just picked up an international design award. British built, 1200cc V4, and a very different look from the Norton most people grew up with.
