Cotswold locals Clement and Beatrice wanted to find a way to showcase the work of their neighboring creative communities, celebrating their craftsmanship and helping share their stories with customers across the country. Now a nationwide operation, Vigour and Skills has built a community of expert makers whose wares are stocked on the site, from hand-thrown ceramics to travel accessories and fine

jewelry. Most importantly, customers have access to behind-the-scenes interviews with makers, directed by Clement himself, which tell intimate stories of how each item on the website has come to life. Storytelling, traceability and transparency are an essential part of the Vigour and Skills experience. By empowering customers to make informed choices about what they buy, Beatrice, Clement and the Vigour and Skills team are helping to re-shape how we shop.

We are very excited to be taking part in London Craft Week 2026, with a weekend presentation at the Museum of the Home on 16–17 May.

This is Szonja Gibárti.

Szonja studied textile design at the University of Brighton, where she specialised in hand weaving. Her scarves are woven in premium lambswool and bring together strong pattern, colour and a real sense of individuality.

A lovely opportunity to learn traditional hand-building techniques and create your own piece, with the option to add a 24-carat gold lustre finish for those who would like that extra touch.

This is Charlotte Jonerheim.

Originally from Sweden, Charlotte came to London to study fine art at Chelsea College of Art, where she trained as a sculptor. Today, through Heim Design, she creates handmade cement pieces that are tactile, distinctive, and beautifully imperfect.

Her background in sculpture gives each piece a strong sense of form and presence, even in the most functional objects.

Next Saturday at Vigour and Skills, we’re hosting a willow tray weaving workshop with Amanda Rayner.

In this hands-on session, you’ll learn how to make a Catalan-style tray using traditional basketry techniques, working with willow to create something both beautiful and practical for the home.

The workshop is beginner-friendly, lasts 3 hours, and by the end you’ll leave with your own woven tray or platter, perfect for bread, fruit, cheese, or simply as a decorative piece.
