Well... we've had a little change of scenery this morning! 😆

No markets for us this weekend... instead, we're getting hands-on with something absolutely magical. 🎈✨ First Flight at Bristol International Balloon Fiesta

This morning's alarm went off at 3:45am... yes, apparently there really are two 3 o'clocks in a day! 😴 It was still pitch black outside.

And after all this warm weather... 10°C felt absolutely Arctic! 🥶 Who'd have thought we'd be reaching for extra layers in August?! But by 8.30am it was shorts weather again! ☀️

Standing there, surrounded by thousands of people, watching the sky slowly come to life... it was one of those moments that just gives you goosebumps. The atmosphere was incredible, and seeing the magic about to unfold overhead was something really special.

Definitely a weekend we'll never forget... and we've only just got started! 🎈✨

All set up at Weston Independent Market! Already off to a busy start!

So yesterday was a proper, much-needed day off… and it was exactly was needed! ❤️

We headed off to Longleat with my brother and my nephew for a day of animals, safari adventures and generally embracing our inner children again. Although, if I’m honest… I’m still not entirely sure who was more excited! 😂

The weather definitely turned up too… 32°C while driving around the safari in a car with absolutely no air conditioning. 🥵 Safe to say we were all slowly melting by the end of it! 😬 But it was totally worth it seeing all the animals up close and spending quality time together.

After all that, we rounded the day off with dinner at what’s quickly becoming our new favourite pub. 🍻 Honestly, it’s becoming a bit of a habit now… not that I’m complaining! 😆

With markets, orders, designing, printing and everything else that comes with running a small business, it’s easy to forget to actually stop every now and then. Yesterday was a lovely reminder that sometimes the best days are the simple ones. No rushing around, no deadlines… just spending quality time with family, having a laugh, and making memories.

A brilliant day from start to finish, plenty of laughs, lots of sunshine (perhaps a little too much sunshine! 🌞🥵), some amazing animals, and quality family time.

Now… back to reality! Time to get cracking again! ❤️

☀️ The sun’s got its hat on, the coffee’s kicked in, and the atmosphere is already brilliant… and it’s only 10am! 😍

We’re all set up in the beautiful Italian Gardens for today’s Weston Independent Market, and it’s shaping up to be a cracking day!

With around 25 amazing independent traders, there’s something for everyone. Jewellery, 3D printing, cheese, doggie treats, clothing, plants, doughnuts, olives, Caribbean street food, fresh fish… basically, if you can’t find something you like, you might just be impossible to buy for! 😂

So if you’re out enjoying the sunshine, come and have a wander, say hello, support local businesses, and treat yourself (or someone else… but mostly yourself 😉).
