Here at C&H carpets and flooring we pride ourselves in our genuine help and advice from point of sale to the completed installation. We are a family run business which has been trading for some forty years; because of this our ability to source most products from most manufactures is very high. All our fitters are handpicked and work to the highest standard. With this service we can bring samples

to your home on request, otherwise we have 4 showrooms with a vast amount of samples to view and choose from. After your measure date our team will then prepare a no obligation quote. No matter how large or small the installation, you will receive the same level of detail and quality as you would expect. Our fitters are extremely flexible and very skilled at fitting a large variety of floor coverings. We now have a fully trained work force of 20 installers which are qualified and experienced in every aspect of floor preparations from damp proofing, uneven sub floor, sheet vinyl tiles, cushion floor, carpets, rubber flooring, safety flooring and Karndean flooring. Right, bit of a random one from me 👇

You lot know us for floors… but I swear the thing I get asked most on a job has nothing to do with carpet 😂 It's always "Dean, know a good gardener?" or "who do you use for painting?"

For years I'd just give someone a mate's number and cross my fingers. So I've gone and built a proper answer instead.

It's called BidMyJob — basically a local site for all the other odd jobs round the house (the stuff we don't do). You stick your job up, local people bid on it, and you pick whoever you fancy off their price + reviews. Free to post, free to bid, no commission — you just sort it directly with them.

We’re looking for a reliable, hard-working Carpet Fitter’s Mate to join our team.
No two days are the same – ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work and learning new skills.

🔧 Job Role Includes:
• Assisting with carpet and flooring installations
• Carrying materials and preparing work areas
• Using basic tools
• Keeping the workspace clean and tidy
• Supporting the fitter on-site

✅ What We’re Looking For:
• Punctual and trustworthy
• Good level of fitness (manual lifting involved)
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Experience is a bonus but not essential – full training provided
• Must be able to travel to various job sites

💰 Pay: Competitive (based on experience)
