As the Winter months approach, so does the threat of Avian Influenza (AI).

Remember prevention is always better than a cure!

AI is a fast spreading disease, with some birds showing very mild or no symptoms at all. Implementation of stringent biosecurity measures is essential this time of year.

Our advice to help protect against AI:

👉 Clean footwear before and after visits
👉 Use the correct PPE
👉 Control rats and mice
👉 Sanitise vehicles
👉 Control access

We have everything your farm needs to help reduce the risk and help you take control!

The EG Agri team wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you to all our poultry farmers for all their hard work putting food on our table, to ensure our bodies remain strong!

Happy World Egg Day!

A fan is only as effective as the way it's controlled.

As livestock housing and ventilation requirements become more sophisticated, the right controls can make managing conditions much easier.

Our ventilation specialists can support farmers with control solutions tailored to their requirements, from standard controls through to truly bespoke systems.

Temperature and humidity sensors can be incorporated to help ventilation respond to changing conditions automatically, reducing the need for manual intervention and avoiding fans running unnecessarily.

It's not just about moving air, but also about having greater control over the environment you're creating.

Could the air inside your calf shed be contributing to respiratory problems?

Stale, damp air and poor ventilation can create conditions where respiratory problems are more likely.

But improving ventilation isn't simply about bringing in as much air as possible.

Calves need a controlled supply of new air without unwanted draughts.

That's exactly what a Positive Pressure Tube Ventilation System is designed to achieve.

Each system is individually designed around the building and livestock, distributing fresh air through precision-cut outlets along the tube.

And we've seen the difference the right system can make.

At one farm, the number of calves being treated for pneumonia reduced from 1 in 10 to 1 in 70 following the installation of a tube ventilation system.

Get in touch to speak to the team about ventilation for your calf housing.
