I can’t wait to be back at the Spring Market at the stunning next weekend for two fab days of shopping, eating and just the best atmosphere 🌷🤍!

So I was talking to my brother the other day, reminiscing about our childhood, and I was saying I have this very vivid memory of feeling like Charlie Bucket (from Charlie & the Chocolate Factory 🍫💁🏻‍♀️) when it came to the amount of Easter eggs we used to get at Easter.

The first day back to school after the Easter hols and the first question was always ‘How many eggs did you get?’. Lyndsay would have got 8, Sarah 12, and there was me, not with 200, but 2 (and the tiny ones at that!) 😏😅.

Fast forward 30yrs and our own kids now get mountains of chocolate eggs, toys, clothes, an Easter egg hunt AND money, MONEY 😳🤦🏻‍♀️. Oh how our parents change when they become grandparents, right?!! Whilst me and the hubby share one between us because my mum overbought 🙈.

Well what a fun day yesterday was at the Show 🤩!

There’s just something extra special about these events and being able to play just a small part in your precious milestones, like becoming a parent or welcoming a new little one to your family 🥹🥰.

A day where where every parent has 3 ‘romantic’ options for when to eat your Dine in for 2 🍽️

1. With the kids at 4.30pm 🤯

2. Somewhere between 10pm and midnight when you’ve finally got the kids to sleep 😴

Or the MOST romantic option IMO🔥…

3. Separately, as one eats at 100mph giving themselves indigestion and the other sits with the wide awake child, then swap 🔁😭

Which option looks most like how you’ll spend your night?

Obviously there is the other option we do not speak of 🤐. Bin off the Meal for 2 and head out on a DATE NIGHT sans kids 🤫. We definitely don’t want to hear about that though! (I’m kidding, tell me ALL so I can live vicariously through you 🤪😅🩷)!

My youngest had all his excuses ready this morning for why he couldn’t go to school 🤦🏻‍♀️😅. Him being ‘ill’ being the main one (I’m 99.9% sure that it’s just an excuse but like every parent sending their kid to school after hearing that, I’m hoping it doesn’t come back to bite me in the 🍑 with a phone call later to come pick him up 🫣😅!).

To be fair, as much as I’ve been craving routine, I’m not feeling the first day back at work vibes today 😴😅.

Anyone else’s kid reluctant to go to nursery/preschool/school? Are you back into the swing of things yet?
