🏓 Staying active can make a huge difference when living with dementia 🏊
At Dignity in Dementia, we believe our sessions should be enjoyable, inclusive and focused on bringing people together.

With a wide range of activities including table tennis, swimming, tai chi, walking rugby and crown green bowling, we encourage movement, confidence, social connection, and laughter — all in a supportive and understanding environment.

Physical activity isn’t just about exercise. It can help improve mood, reduce isolation, build confidence, and create meaningful moments for both people living with dementia and their family carers.

Seeing friendships grow and smiles shared is why we do what we do 💜

What a great evening at our Supper Club tonight at the Smithy Inn💛
We had an excellent turnout, and it was lovely to see everyone come together to enjoy a lovely meal in such a welcoming environment. The staff were wonderful—so friendly, attentive, and kind, helping to make the evening extra special for everyone.
A truly lovely evening had by all. Thank you to everyone who joined us—see you all next month! ✨

999 ReUnite is a partnership between Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service, Lancashire Police, North West Ambulance Service, and the Good Deeds Trust. The scheme helps locate and safely return vulnerable people such as those living with dementia, Alzheimer’s, or other memory issues who may become lost or disoriented.

Even if your loved one usually knows their way, a small wristband can make a big difference in an emergency.

The vunerable person will have a fob or wristband on them, if they get lost or need help you can just scan it with your smart phone and it tells you their name and details, helping them to get reunited with their loved ones sooner!

I have had such a lovely week this week! When taking a client to an appointment in Lancaster om Wednesday, I found Positive Futures, I had a lovely toastie in the cafe and a cup of tea while waiting for her while she had her appointment. I will deffo be back! They are such a wonderful cause for the local area, and I cannot believe I didn't know about them before!
On Thursday, a gentleman I look after wanted to go to Morecambe, and while we were there he wanted to go out for lunch!
Then today, I went with the lovely Geoff to The Smithy Inn at Holme where he used to go every week! We had a lovely lunch and it was fabulous to meet everyone there that I have heard so much about! We will be back!!
