I saw a host of angels once (true story) and I still managed to argue atheism with my late father, who wisely smiled and refused to challenge his own faith.
We used to talk about philosophy and religion, also history, language, mathematics and cosmology. He painted, whittled wood, played guitar. He wrote poetry in his shed, sang songs to himself while robins nestled in his fragrant wood shavings.
My dad died in 2021 during lockdown, aged 80. We visited him in hospital wearing our facemasks, communicated our love for him with our eyes.
This painting is about how it feels to be human, to emerge from source in order to experience the whole spectrum of emotions, to forge profound soul connections during life, knowing we will lose them in death, finally to reunite with them once more in spirit form.
Where the bodies of the Stickmen meet in this artwork, I have added gold paint. It shimmers in the light, precious and true (read the captions under each pic).
