Fresh from the studio and full of story, four new one of a kind upcycled pieces have just landed 🌿✨

First up, a reimagined Ralph Lauren Polo top, transformed with hand tie dye, softened into a flowing silhouette, and finished with an asymmetric chiffon detail that moves beautifully. It’s relaxed, expressive, and made for those who love something a little different.

Then come three unique cuff bracelets, each with its own personality. One features a patchwork of reclaimed fabrics with a delicate flower detail. Another blends denim with vintage doily and lace, finished with soft pink and gold beading for a hint of shimmer. The third combines denim patchwork with a floral embellishment topped with a faux pearl, giving rustic textures a gentle, elegant twist.

Every piece has been created from pre loved materials, carefully reworked to give them a new life while staying true to Butterfly and Thistle’s eco friendly ethos ♻️

A beautifully busy day behind the scenes at Butterfly & Thistle 🌿✨

This morning was all about preparing my creations for the Spring Fair at Pontefract Library this Wednesday – I can’t wait to share everything I’ve been working on with you all!

This afternoon was dedicated to a very special custom order… a denim jacket transformed with thrifted black floral embroidered net, carefully layered over the back, shoulders, and pockets. The result? A truly one-of-a-kind piece, full of texture, story, and a little bit of magic 🖤🌸

Days like these remind me why I love what I do – turning ideas into wearable art.

I am so excited to be part of the The Secret Stanley Ferry Shop family. Check out this lovely shop along the tow path at Stanley Ferry. Park at the back of the pub, head to the right along the path and you will find this amazing place. It is like an Aladdin’s cave filled with wonderful handcrafted items. So much talent! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

✨ New Upcycled Creations from Butterfly & Thistle Creative Crafts ✨

Today I’m sharing two brand new one of a kind boho tops that have just been finished and added to my Vinted shop.

🌸 Floral and Stars Boho TopCreated from a lightweight floral vest with a longer dipped hem at the back. I added a soft pink muslin scarf featuring copper stars to create light flowing sleeves. The result is a dreamy, relaxed boho piece that feels perfect for summer days, festivals and holidays.

🪷 Mandala Boho TopThis unique piece began as a weathered feel dusty pink top. I added a beautiful doily mandala with button detail on the front, and created soft sleeves using a muslin scarf with off white and navy stripes and a delicate floral motif. A lovely textured piece with a relaxed bohemian vibe.

Both pieces are completely one of a kind and made with my love of upcycling and slow fashion in mind.

I also spent a good portion of today working on a brand new surprise creation that I’m really excited about… I’ll be unveiling it later this week so keep an eye on the page 👀✨

✨ New Boho Creations Just Added ✨

I’ve been busy creating again and two new upcycled boho tops are now available over on my Vinted page.

The first is a Nightmare Before Christmas inspired boho top, created from a thrifted navy blue t shirt and a navy scarf threaded with subtle silver sparkle. The scarf fabric adds a lovely soft drape and a touch of shimmer, giving the top a relaxed boho feel with a slightly gothic, alternative twist. Perfect for fans of quirky, spooky style.

The second piece is another one of a kind upcycled boho top, designed to have a more edgy, alternative feel. I’ve added hand stitched fabric details and layered pieces to give texture and character, creating that slightly raw, artistic boho look. The visible hand stitching adds to the individuality of the piece and gives it that handmade, lived in style that works so well with alternative and bohemian outfits.

As always, these creations are made using thrifted and pre loved materials, giving fabrics a second life and keeping fashion more eco friendly.

Come and join us at our annual Easter Craft Fair at Pontefract Library! We have an exciting variety of stalls from different types of crafters. Refreshments will be provided and entry is free. We are collecting donations for the RSPCA: Leeds, Wakefield & District Branch.
